No, I steadily lost interest in Robin after the timeskip because she never really has any prominence or major role to play in the plot until she fights Black Maria. Her two biggest moments of focus since the timeskip (Black Maria fight and Saul reunion) also both tie back to Ohara instead of going for something new about her character.

I genuinely get the impression that Oda doesn't really have an idea of something truly interesting to do with her character, she's usually in the back smiling or making dark jokes too often for my liking and coasts by on her amazing backstory from pre-timeskip. I mean, it was so bad in Egghead that she got off-screened with no explicit explanation and proceeded to do nothing for the remainder of the arc.

One of the best, but honestly i wouldnt know who is the actual best. Nami is great too,i find the characterization of Big Mom very coherent,as Oda shows how many of her actions comes from her desperate try to avoid abandonement. Bonney was surely also well developed as character. Bellemere was great. Kuina seemed cool.

She is probally the most unpredictable and fun to read so i would go along with that. Obviously benefits that odas female cast tends to be terrible so

I like her post time skip, but she is unironically to happy and bubbly now. I get that it´s her character development, but it´s become overdone. Robin is the most brutal strawhat and should remain that, maybe slightly less then zoro

There is not much competition to her especially pre skip robin. I think Vivi and Nami pre skip are there as well.

Purely from characterization point of view , I like vivi more. Though robin comes after that.

Just read my name, bio, location, and everything
even tho s snake might be #2, but honestly if you don’t believe that Nico Robin is best well, you deserve to have to fight her irl, or maybe at least kaido since that’ll be a nicer time

The best developed, yes. That isn’t saying a lot really, but her character is genuinely interesting and her running dark humor/kawaii gag is actually the funniest in the crew. She is the one I would choose to be friends with if I had a choice, without question. Robin and Zoro deserve a Shakki Rayleigh situation in the end for sure.

Other girls are very good also though, although they play smaller roles, while many of the women are either sexualized or a goofy gimmick appearance. There are solid supporting actresses like Monet, Baby 5, Kureha, Dadan, Portgas Rouge, Kuina, and Ulti, but I can’t imagine any of these being well done as a character for 1100 chapters. Many people, by the way, most actually, do not appreciate how difficult it is to maintain an interesting character arc over such a long period of time.

Oda is only really good at writing women when he commits a very short period of time to their story. Robin has been the one exception, as Nami still has not had a significant personally payoff outside of Romance Dawn. I do appreciate that the characters we met first have the longest character arcs as her personal story and ambitions still have a good way to go to hit a true EoS high, like Zoro’s.

However, I’m going with a pocket pick Vivi as the actual best girl by the end of the series. She has to earn her place.
