Usopp will be the YC3 of Luffy, considering that his dad is the YC3 of Luffy’s idol. Hopefully Usopp will get the chance to grow a lot in power during Wano

So We've had focus on nearly all the strawhats during the last 2 arcs both fighting and character-wise.

The curly hat pirates in Wci and Zoro's group this arc but one has been grossly underfocused; Ussop.

He got no focus on his abilities(only strawhat who didn't defeat anyone this raid) nor in his character,even telling Nami not to make Ulti angry while she was bullying Tama.

Remember Ussop wants to be a brave Warrior of the sea and needs to confront his Yc father at some point,So do you think Oda is ignoring Ussop right now to focus on his character and fighting abilities next arc?

This is why I like the Red Haired Pirates to be on Elbaf. It's killing two birds with one stone with regards to Usopp. He arrives in his promise land and reunites with his father and inspiration. There's a real opportunity to explore his character. Particularly if he feels he has lived up to his father and the Elbaf Warriors he admires. I think not doing much in Wano could be by design to segway into this.

What would set it apart from Water 7's drama would be that Usopp believes in his place on the crew now whereas he didn't before. Now, it would be if Usopp can be more than just useful - if he's become the brave warrior he always believed he could be.

Elbaf will be very short compared to Wano, I am expecting it to give more information vital to the main plot. Could be like Fishman island..

Usopp is essentially in their shadow doing the sniper thing.

I'd like for their to be more but I honestly believe Oda didn't really think of a plan for Usopp post timeskip so he made him a botanist.

I guess for the similarity between him and Noland + I think Oda said he wanted a botanist on the crew. Why? I don't know but I liked Usopp when he & oda were more creative.

If only Oda has not turned Usopp into Fraudsopp this raid, I would be game for Elbaf to be his arc.

Oda did them dirty post-TS.

Fraudsopp was particularly pathetic this raid. Even Namistake tearfully defied Ulti and fluked out a win. He outright waved the white flag. He should have stayed in the capital to sell more toad oils.
