Exactly, He didn't specify that he was dead, he just said he was no longer of this world. Suddenly, God Valley is no longer of this world too. The government is hiding a lot too. I don't think Sengoku told the younger generation of the Marines everything. It's clear Sengoku hides a lot of things. Garp and Sengoku are going to die but by whom? The best solution is by the hand of a Pirate such as Xebec. Teach is surely going to kill Shanks and his crew I don't see him killed besides Garp and Sengoku it's too much there.

Oda really didn't have to include Xebec in the story. He didn't have to say Whitebeard, Kaido, Big Mom, and Shiki are on the same crew either. It wasn't necessary for the story. I think he did this there to show the dangerousness of Xebec the Lurking Legend. Imagine Sengoku says Xebec has returned, a guy stronger than Whitebeard or Roger. It's going to discourage a lot of Marines. The Lurking Legend is definitely not Kaido. Its title is King of the Beast or the invincible / immortal Kaido.

The excuse that he's too old doesn't work when you have Dr. Kureha who is 128 years old and still in good shape.

The immortality of Op Op no Mi Bonney who rejuvenates people with her power

Brook who has the fruit of resurrection

Ains of the movie Z that makes 12 year olds younger (I never understood that he didn't make Z in his prime lool)

Sugar who never got old

The Giants of Elbaf who live 300 years.

The Gorosei who have never aged since Robin's flashback

The Devil fruit of Toki's time that transports people to the future.

Xebec has everything it takes to make an appearance.

I think he will be back , there's several hints that suggest not only he will be back, his entire crew will be back

Kaido mentioned only Roger and WB death, but didn't talk about Rocks

Marines keep talking about Rocks pirates return when they heard BM heading to Wano

when Kaido defeated the Scabbards he said " are you satisfied now" , who's he addressing here ?

when BM and Kaido announced their alliance they said today will be an anniversary!! anniversary of what?

Lastly Oden keep talking about prophecy and destiny, but what if Rocks pirates also know about this and has been waiting for this knight ?

Oda really didn't have to create Xebec. They could have said that Roger had rivals like the supernovas of his era. Kaido, Shiki and Big Mom could have been former Roger generation supernovas. Instead, He downright makes a super powerful crew with everyone out there.


I don't see Shanks being the only guy alive in this picture.




Return of the Rocks isn't just about Kaido and Big Mom. When Kaido loses, is Big Mom going to be the last member of the rock crew? Would he have any more threat from the rock crew? It sounds too weird.

I see like this, It took Roger and Garp to beat Xebec, it's only going to take Luffy to beat Xebec.

Maybe even Blackbeard will kill Xebec and take his Devil Fruit to become the biggest threat.

even tho I believe he's alive, I don't think he's gonna be a big deal, meanit he won't be an opponent for Luffy

I see Shanks taking care of him, maybe with some help but he won't have an arc dedicated to him

Kaido and BM will still be the most important rocks pirates ( and no they won't fall in this raid imo), Rocks and Shiki will be defeated relatively quickly

I think that's what will rocks story be about , he escaped death and his "fate" to be able to return in this age , unlike Roger who his problem was " he found the One piece too early"

another strong theme is inherited will and giving the torch to the new era, WB accepted his era was in the past and was ok to give room to the new age

but know the storyline is new era vs old era, yet only BM is actually from the old era, the story only can come together with old era returning and refusing to pass the torch , Shiki talked about this in chapter 0 when he talked about new pirates being soft and unimpressive

Rocks ( and imo Rocks pirates) know about the prophecy and have been waiting for it

I can't see Shanks only fight is to be killed by Teach.

I think Shanks and his Crew are going to fight other characters.

Maybe a team up with Luffy and Shanks against them would be good.

Why does Oda mention and name Shiki in the Wano arc? Oda isn't going to tell readers that if you want to know what's going on with Shiki, you have to watch the 2009 movie It really doesn't make sense.


I don't think we'll have a 100% Xebec arc but, Xebec is going to be a kind of Hype tool for Shanks and Blackbeard.

Shiki design resemble a Shogun

he's called the Golden lion, and we're arc focused on animals and beasts

the old hag know him, and how Kaido came to Wano and making a deal with Orachi isn't fully explained yet, having Shiki in the mix explain everything

Shiki in chapter 0 said his plan is about animals ( probably smiles) , and the anime lately doubled down on chapter 0 content

Oda is hinting at Toki being alive, if Oda were to bring him back in his prime there's an explanation

and the focus on Rocks pirates lately reinforce all the above

I think it's just a matter of when for him to appear, people don't believe it because it sound too crazy

and if I have to guess, he will be defeated by the monster trio eventually, but not on his own arc , his character is like if you combine them together lol

There is even a rumor that Shiki is part of Kurozomi's family.

but it would be weird if he let Kaido take care of Wano.

The flashback of Kaido and the Rocks will explain everything to us

where did Shiki go all this time?

Oda didn't have to make Shiki the Golden Lion a Member of the Rocks.

Besides chapter 0 is canon, that's means Shiki is still waiting for Conquer the World like Kaido and Big Mom want to Conquer the World.

Maybe Kaido killed him but I don't think so. It means his devil fruit is somewhere in this world.

I keep going back and forth on this...knowing Oda, it’s a near certainty Rocks is still alive, but perhaps the author will genuinely let this sleeping dog lie and only show him to us in the appropriate flashback(s) we’re sure to get soon. As of now, though, I’m assuming the former :kawak:
