It can still be DF. Momo has a fake DF that allow him to do the same things (flying with clouds). Maybe Vegapunk used the real Dragon DF as a model.

And one can know of dragon powers while it is a DF. Real dragons existed and Kaido has dragon powers so Yamato can know dragons powers.

there's very strong evidence that Kaido is the result of experiments, so it's possible his power get passed on to his daughter
