Garp said the Yonko are in a stalemate as of Part 1, that’s Sick and Old Whitebeard, not prime. Sick and Old Whitebeard is the one holding the Yonko title too.
Sick and Old Whitebeard also clashed evenly splitting the skies with Shanks, the same way Big Mom and Kaidou did.
So all the Yonko title and equality in the story applies to Sick and Old Whitebeard not Prime.

Whitebeard is not sick for decades. Wtf are you talking about? Before WB were called a yonko. He is known as great pirate. Big mom and kaido were called as yonko but both also known as great pirates. Luffy become a yonko and shanks crew called Luffy a great pirate. The infamous clash between Roger and whitebeard happens when both known as great pirate. Great pirate tier. That's the only legit tier. There is no such thing as pirate king level. Roger begged Oden for one piece. He at the weakest and sic when he become a pirate king.

A lot of people might say that next tier after Yonko would be Pirate King, but imo Pirate King tier/title should not be a tier analyzed by strength standards but rather by other standards like infamy and feats. In other words, Pirate King tier is the same as yonko tier in terms of strength, infamy, territory, number and strength of members and allies, but this time with other special feats like reaching the "unreachable" last island of the New World or even learning the truth of the world/Void Century. It's not selected by analysing strength and power feats. So yeah, in terms of power scaling, in my opinion yonko level is the limit. And no, I believe that all Yonkous are on similar levels, so a single Yonko wouldn't be capable of winning against two other yonkos simultaneously.
Now, if Oda were to add another tier, lets say God tier (like how Naruto did), a character that's just straight OP, can defeat the Yonkos by themselves and can only be defeated by specific actions or conditions, then imo that would destroy the power scale of the series and would honestly make it less enjoyable for me at least. Or who knows, it might be executed pretty well and could turn out to be something really interesting.

That would just be silly. As of now, Oda has consistently grouped top tiers together (Big Mom’s embarrassments notwithstanding).
There are individual top tiers that are closer to the top among the tier, but so far nothing suggests anyone can face and beat 4 top tiers at the same time.
Sure, One Piece being a shounen doesn’t exclude that possibility, but it would still be silly if Oda does choose to go that route.

Yonko level is merely entry level of the realm of emperors, Kings and Gods.

And Big Mom said she needed Elbaf to defeat Whitebeard... who was stabbed by a Veteran tier with no problem... Whitebeard who admitted that he no longer was the strongest...

There is a difference with your overall power level and your AP. Whitebeard AP didnt became weaker, since he depends a lot on his DF. But his performance, mobility, speed, etc; was just High tier or even lower since Squardo con trick him.
Example is King Elizabeth, he has Yonko AP, but his overall level is Veteran.

One of the Data books stated that the original setting for the Yami Yami no mi, would have had Blackbeard be unbeatable even by all three Admirals.
I don't think Oda had changed the concept for the character, except rather make one Devil fruit that powerful, he's giving said character multiple devil fruits to be that powerful instead.

Even with power creep, Oda will still have Katakuri about equal to King.
My point was that it’s doubtful Oda will ever have it that 1 top tier would beat 4 other top tiers. Even if the Admirals, other Yonko, Dragon and such show better feats later on due to power creep, Oda will still have those already defeated like Big Mom & Kaido simply match them if they come back.

A more damaged Whitebeard was keeping up with Admirals, Squad stabbing him wasn’t just due to Whitebeard being weakened, but also emotional ties.
Big Mom needing Giants to beat Whitebeard applies to Sick and Old Whitebeard.
Whitebeard was no longer the strongest, but the Yonko aren’t seen as exactly equal anyway, since Kaidou was the one to bet on 1v1, despite the other Yonko existing, the Yonko are just close enough in strength that it would be a close fight between them.
Whitebeard became weaker I agree, but the fact that he still remained relevant as a Yonko, and the balance of powers continued, means he was still strong enough despite this where the other Yonko couldn’t take him out without a close fight.

Emperors existing doesn’t mean they were in a state of balance with each other. Right now there are 4 emperors, but they aren’t in a state of balance, which is why the world is entering a battle royal scenario that Oda talked about. The emperors existing in the past doesn’t mean they were balanced in strength, the story suggests the only reason Prime Whitebeard doesn’t progress beyond Emperor to Pirate King, is he had no ambition to do so, not him being unable to due to the balance of Emperors that exists in the first part of the story.
Whitebeard was on his ship in plain sight with IV drips and nurses, Shanks wasn’t surprised to see him in this state at all ether. It’s true people didn’t know quite how sick Whitebeard was but it’s unlikely they were unaware of him being sick at all, and they certainly knew he had gotten old. No matter what they knew he wasn’t Prime anymore, but still saw him as strong enough to not try to take him on, and maintained the balance.

For now such a power lvl is not even hinted. On one hand I think Shanks and BB are (or will be for BB) stronger than Kaido and BM. BB will become the eos series villain but him beating 4 emperors at once imo is too much if he doesn't get sone kind of broken hax only God Nika Luffy can beat. Imu probably at best will have some broken hax, I don't see him as a powerhouse fighter, at worst he is a Spandam.
