Isnt Meruem's Hatsu just a better version of Chrollos?

#42
Wrong. Chimera Ants came to the NGL cause they couldn't survive in the dark continent. Don Freecs has being living there for who knows how long. It doesn't matter how OP Meruem was, the calamities will be stronger and Don Freecs and the whoever makes it to the Dark Continent will have to have some serious power level gains to compete with the threats in that place. Chimera ants were just a tease of the Dark Continent.
But aren't basic Chimera just some bugs? Can't really be compared to Meruem.

I'd take the deadbeat dad and Beyond in a pure nen fight. Tserry has the potential too.

but i guess chrono is right in that meruem is the strongest person who can also use nen. Most of his strength is from his insane physicals tho.
Lmao whats the difference. Hes still the strongest Nen user. Due to his nen abilities he became Post Rose Mereum as well.

Meruem eats a nen user, acquires their abilities and their nen aura.

Chrollo has to fulfill a bunch of conditions to acquire the ability but has to hold his book at all times and until lately couldnt use multiple abilities at the same time.

Haven't realised that is his Hatsu. I thought that's just like, nature of the Ant King and he simply didn't care enough to develop actual Hatsu because his base stats were so broken.

That is also how I've always interpreted it. A hatsu is a developed ability and Meruem seemed to be coasting by on raw physicals and supernatural nen affinity as opposed to developing any techniques. He didn't have use for anything more specific than what he already had.
