General & Others It has been a week for me now since I stopped caring about powerscaling and getting triggered by other people's thoughts about my favorite characters

3 weeks break bias.

Just kidding but sadly without powersclaling this forum would be dead.

I did notice that each time me or someone creates a thread about something that is story / world of OP related it barely has couple replies . It seems its almost impossible to reach second page of replies without couple members arguing.

Funny enough it's the complete opposite for me. I find the mudslinging, the toxic back and forth, and the agenda discourse to be the best parts of One Piece. Without that, I'd be simply picking at this shitty story bit by bit, basically ruining the story by noticing the inconsistencies and the bad character writing that were even present in the Pre-TS. Thanks to the volatile community and the agenda memes spread throughout it, I can just have a laugh and sometimes input my 2 cents on a comment or topic.

And honestly, its the most happy Ive been in a long, long time reading this series. A week or so ago I realized that I was living in a toxic filled cesspool of a mess weekly by indulding myself in the hardcore powerscaling and tribe wars this place has going on. And I decided to just stop caring and cut everything off, and its been a blast.

You guys should try it. Its really great and it may help you recover some of the love you lost for this series because toxic powerlevel debates sure as hell diminished my love for the series over time.
I understand your point, it is the best thing in life to appreciate what you like.

but don't expect the forum to change, everyone has their characters that they love very much and will always defend them.

so the escalation of power will continue as long as OP exists.

That's why I will always defend Zoro:zosmug:

Once in my virgin days here on worstgen, I happily wandered around, exploring this community near and far. This is when I happen to stumble upon a “Zoro-power-scaling-thread”. Interested, I decided to take a peek and noticed the maker expressing their utmost discomfort with the way Zoro’s battle with King had been handled. In my compassion and empathy for their situation as a fan, I brought forth my condolence and tried to cheer the obvious teenager / young adult up.

A good deed done for the day… .

…only to be directly confronted with an utmost rigid view on the situation and an emotional outburst that must have given them headaches for the duration of said battle-chapters.

To a degree I feel bad, when I say that it was fascinating watching someone so utterly unhinging his self-restrain. To this day I wonder if they wrecked their room only because that fight was not to their liking. I do can imagine them screaming and jumping around, throwing their stuff to the ground like an angry gorilla roaringly throws poop at visitors in a zoo. Or Gollum doing so because he can’t find his precious.

To this day, whenever I dare to walk into a powerscaling thread, I’m asking myself: Do you really want to walk into the territory of angry Gollum? Or should you skip out on this experience?

It’s good to hear that a fan decided to not to let themselves get dragged anymore into those interpersonal, toxic depths of some power scaling threads, but can now enjoy the manga as an art work and entertainment source to fill their free time. :optimistic:
ZKK destroyed the lives of several zoro fans, some completely dropped the series while others joined the army in hopes of going to japan in order to track oda and ask him, with teary eyes, why did he betray them like that

Lol true, but the overly extreme vagueness and inconsistencies of Haki and power levels between characters what make Agenda Piece fun.
Also, Oda has this absolutely astonishing habit to off screen or even cut completely the most interesting parts of the fights lol. Something suicidal for any Battle manga, but OP Is like that.

Who in his right mind would have almost completely off screened Roger vs WB, just to say the very first fight that comes to my mind?
No one in his right mind would, but Oda showed us only the First clash and not even bothered to draw two or three pages of fight. A fight we dreamed about since forever.
And we can be sure the same will be for Garp vs Roger or all the GV incident.

But not fret: for Mocha or O Tama we had all the time in the world, tens of panels and dedicated chapters :goatasure:.

This is a supposed Battle manga, but the author doesn't really care about the battles, Power levels or consistency.

I think oda is too afraid of drawing long top tier fights in general. Most of the time he off panels them like akainu vs aokiji or roger vs WB in oden's FB. Even oden vs Kaido fight was mostly off paneled.

So it makes hard to scale characters especially top tiers. Then haki especially adv coc usage is headache at this point and sometimes it makes no sense like zoro using 3 swords initially against lucci then randomly switching to 2 swords and extending the battle and finally making short work of lucci.

If you're not enjoying something, then the best thing to do is to avoid it altogether. Hope it'll work out well for you. Personally, the thing that excites me the most about being a part of OP communities is the power scaling debates. I've been through this shithole for so long that its toxicity doesn't bother me anymore, but I agree that it's not for everyone.
As much as i try to avoid powerscaling and ignore trolls and stupid takes but holy shit im addicted to it lmao

Man powerscaling one piece is quite literally a headache. Its by far the worst in any animanga i've read

Once you except the fact that most OP fans are drooling morons who can’t even be convinced that the sky is blue, in general your appreciation for this mid series goes up. Lol
