General & Others It is Big Mom not Kaido

The last fight for Luffy in Wano will be Big Mom, not Kaido. There is a bigger build up to Luffy taking down Big Mom, than there is in luffy taking down Kaido.

Luffy vs Big Mom - starts at Fishman Island, with Luffy's outright declaration against Big Mom ->Luffy then personally screws over her Kingdom while embarrassing her in front of the entire world by taking down her commanders -> Big Mom chases down Luffy, even willing to go to war with Kaido to kill Luffy -> Luffy and Big Mom have a small fight

Luffy vs Kaido - starts at Dressrosa with the downfall of Doflamingo -> Then it goes straight to Wano -> Luffy fights Kaido and gets beat


For Kaido, Oda has set up two other individuals who have bigger beef with Kaido, Kidd & Momo. Kidd's crew was dismantled by Kaido, his partner/bestfriend was messed up hard by Kaido's people, he himself suffered great torture at the hands of Kaido and his lackies. Momo who got his father, family, and country destroyed by Kaido.
In addition to these two, Oda has also now set up Zoro for a crucial role in Kaido's defeat by giving him the sword that gave Kaido his scar (and ofc the whole ruuma/dragon stuff).

This is not to say that Luffy won't play a crucial role in Kaido's defeat. But I believe Luffy after delivering a good blow to Kaido will switch off to Big Mom, who would've been fighting somebody else at that time, and that is when the others will take Kaido on and finish him. While Luffy finishes off Big Mom and closes the books on that story. This is will also go perfectly with Luffy's statement of taking on Big Mom after he takes on Kaido.

BM looks less reasonable than Kaido. she is more menacing.
I also believe that BM is the scarier one of the 2.
both are Brawlers. Kaido more so than BM. thats why I think Luffy would have an easier time vs Kaido than BM.
that makes BM last opponent material.

Why? current Luffy is already low top tier. Luffy only needs one more power up, G5, awakening, or Advanced CoC, whatever it is and he could go toe to toe with kaido.

we're already approaching the end of One piece so I don't think it is too unreasonable for Luffy to leave this arc above the yonko, being a contender for pirate king

Blackbeard can eat multiple DFs so he could be way above Kaido in his prime

Blackbeard can eat multiple DFs so he could be way above Kaido in his prime

He got oneshotted 2 weeks ago. No amount of novice acoa which all the top tiers have will make up the gap of being neg diffed by base kaido.

Nah, it is Kaido. Luffy had round1 with him with a burnin defeat and now he is training to beat him. So him taking down BM leaving Kaido alone would not make much sense plot wise.

I mean that's kind of a shitty argument. If the WG went full force they could kill anybody. totland couldn't withstand an invasion by 3 admirals and the shichibukai
they don't because the WG wants balance. 4 Yonkos fighting with each other so that no 1 man can get all 4 poneglyphs. That's why Im was contemplating killing Luffy or Blackbeard, because they are actively trying to destroy the balance. Its also why they were willing to go to war with Whitebeard to kill ace.

This is an assumption and a flat out false one. Big Mom doesn't have FS and nothing suggests that Luffy is a "novice" at either ACoA or FS.

His FS was strong enough for him to beat katakuri and we saw back in udon that he can use his CoO in literally the exact same way that katakuri did. Luffy was also able to do the exact same thing that Rayleigh did.

No. If luffy could beat him one on one. Then akainu would fuck kaido one on one. We know kaido flys around alone and the marines keep track. If luffy can solo him there wouldnt be a kaido.
