Here's my theory:

After Yuji ate Sukuna's finger he acquired CE, but he had no CT engraved in his body so he was only able to use Divergent Fist / Black flash, which are essentually just punches inbued with CE, with time Sukuna's Cursed Techniques started to engrave in Yuji's body but Sukuna was the one " filling this ""gap "" " so he was the one who could use the CTs, after he left, Yuji's body started to be aware of the new Techniques and now it's starting to awaken them subconsciously
