Didn't he already give an estimate once before? Like 1 or 2 years ago?
In any case, never take an author's estimates to heart. Case in point Oda and GRRM.

Yeah he said he wants to finish by 2023, but we knew there was no way with how the Culling Game went on. I am not sure if he can finish by the end of 2023 with all the things left unless it gets rushed. So I don't really believe it will be over in a year.
