To be fair we should take in consideration the same amount of chapters. JJK is what 192? One Piece at time was coming closer to Alabasta last fights ending.

I can't analyze it since I didn't read JJK manga.

But I saw first season and movie. So must be around the 70 chapters. Where One Piece anime was beginning Arlong Park.

It is common know that One Piece only was great after this arc. So yes until now JJK seems better than One Piece.

Now JJK has a total of 196 chapters including JJK 0. With the little spoilers I know from what happens it seems better than what we got until Alabasta almost finishing arc.

If we take whole works to measure I would give One Piece the better grade until Zou ending. But it is unfair to compare 820 chapters with 200.

In defense of One Piece I would say JJK doesn't have potential to be 1k+ chapter manga. Not even talking about pacing since One Piece could be reduced to at least 800 chapters now but JJK does seem to end with MC demon getting out of his body or taking over completely.

I did read the manga because the anime ending was pretty trash, I think I read till chapter 73 or something and then gave that manga up

Anyway you can’t try and sell me JJK it’s a pretty mid show same way Demon Slayer was average for me.

Lol no. And it isn’t even close. One Piece is leagues better. People really love to hop on the next big thing. JJK is mid. When it finishes, it will be on to the next thing with flashy animation. One Piece actually leaves an impact on most people. I doubt JJK could even surpass Naruto in that department.

It depends on the story... JJK would be ruined if it were 1k chapters long while OP would be meh if it were only 200-300 chapters. Some stories are better short and some are better long.

Do you really read and believe what you say? As I answered in the other topic, if you want everything to be related to things from many chapters ago, that's fine with me. But that doesn't make a series better or worse. Nor do the retcons have to be bad if they are explained correctly.

But I accept the challenge, let's study if Oda really just uses retcons and writes on the fly. Let's take Wano as an example, since it's the last arc.

1. We have Ryuma. A character introduced even before One Piece began. It makes more than 1000 chapters. Not only that, but we are also related to the plot of Wano with Thiller Bark through Ryuma himself and Moria's confrontation with Kaido, he makes more than 600 chapters. Can you give me a similar example of JJK and KnY? Wait, it doesn't have 600 chapters, much less 1000 to link anything.
2. There are the Kokuto, which were introduced by Mihawk and Ryuma, more than 1000 and 600 chapters ago
3. We have Koshyro and Wado Ichimonji, also related to Wano more than 1000 chapters ago
4. There's Oden, the guy who wrote in the Golden Bell of Shandora and commander of the Shirohigue 2nd Division, a position that had been vacant long before Ace's union. That was more than 700 and 500 chapters ago respectively.
5. We have the AdCoC and the Ryuuou that were introduced by Sanhks and Rayleigh over 700 and 500 chapters ago.
6. This Tama, the girl who taught Ace to make hats, who was named in Marine Ford, more than 500 chapters ago.
7. Kaido is related to Punk Hazard, more than 300 chapters ago.
8. Then we have a lot of little things that are related 25-50-100 chapters.

This is something JJK and KnY can't even dream of. Oda is the God of relating things from previous chapters. Of course Oda doesn't have everything thought out from chapter 0, nor any mangaka, it's ridiculous to demand such a thing from them.

These messages show that you do not know what you are talking about or what you want. You criticize Oda for not having foresight, when he is the mangaka who masters this technique the most.
