General & Others Just an odd trend I noticed for the Marines

With the recent background information about Aramaki and Issho, with the exception of Sengoku, all five men who have served as Admirals come from low-class backgrounds. But what I find unusual is I believe there has been no cases of any Marine officer actually having a title of nobility and/or royalty serving in said Marines. (Rociante was a ex-CD, so I wouldn't say he counts). Especially when you consider how classist the World Government is.

And when you look at the navies of the kingdoms of Spain, Britain, France, etc. during the Age of Sail, the officers who would be Rear Admirals, Vice Admirals and full Admirals would be nothing *but* nobility. Or in comparison to the IJN, where several famous officers would be elevated to the Peerage for their services, such as Gensui Togo, for example.

It's nothing excatly important, I just find it interesting how the Marines of One Piece are uniquely low-class across the board.

Well, to be fair, officers of the navies of those RL countries aren't superhumanly powerful, but it just does seem a but odd how there are so many powerful people who answer to rulers who couldn't actually stop them if they rebelled.
GB was captured somehow before the marines recruited him

I also brought up the IJN in my first post as it was originally founded by the Samurai of the Satsuma Domain and several of its officers (even those who were not born in the Samurai caste) would later become nobility in the Kazoku Peerage system, I feel like that also could have been an option of Oda to go with, and a good incentive for people to join the Marines.
