Togashi has health issues, it's different then taking hiatus. You can take hiatus for one or to weak after a full year work, but you can't fake it for too long. Again, Oda has obligations, if he fakes health issues for too long then the company lawyers will fuck him up.

It isnt about money. Oda had ton of money 10 or 15 years ago.
The series gets longer because Oda finding New elements and adds them to the story. When you are a writer you dont think about the past you always try to find new things to write and despite all that we can see that Oda is trying to finish the series.
I believe Odas 5 year statement but imo it 5 year time will start after Wano. At that time we can enjoy the series as much as we can. :cheers:

I appreciate the realness. Regardless the same always happens on long arcs, and I agree bigger stakes, longer time needed to settle the conflict. This is a grand scale adventure based manga and a weekly shonen. These kind of responses are bound to happen until once the series is over, fans will read it all in one go, and will be like...
