The time lapse in these panels are not set in stone. Through each panel, pretty seems years has passed.
It was stated that Big Mom gave Kaido the DF after the battle, so it means that Kaido indeed was in it, but yeah, Roger and Garp wouldnt had been able to defeat them for sure, there was some kind of cheatty tricks in that fight and maybe they left Xebec to his luck.
And then, some time after, Kaido left, since there was no captain.

Heck, we even saw Kaido being capture when he met King. So maybe his dissapearance was not because he betrayed but because he was caught and Big Mom didnt knew.

Not sure about her not healing fully. She did when she had broken bones. But anyway is different to heal fully mid fight and after fight. We saw Big Mom and Kaido 3 days after they stopped fighting and were already drinking and getting well.
