I think stating "haki alone" is bit disingenuous.

Martial Arts & Sword techniques exist for a reason. Zoro's sword techniques still exist without Haki, their power would just be much less, but it's the same for Luffy.

Sword techniques without Haki can balance out DF techniques without Haki.
