Ace was pretty damn weak compared to the world's biggest players, was likely around Doffy level at the best of cenarios, even if we overestimate his power. And Doffy was weaker than even Cracker, considering how much trouble Cracker gave G4 luffy compared to Doffy. Soo no, he cant do shit to Kaido, not when his haki is weak to the point where he cant even free Yamato from her shackles.

Now about kaido, his strenght shouldnt be very far from BM's, and both are the same kind of fighter too...by that i mean slow AF, but durable and capable of one shoting almost anyone if their atack hits, that said i dont think any of them as they are now holds a canddle next to WB or Roger when they where on their prime.

This is exactly why Big Mom asked Kaido to join forces.

Finding the One Piece is basically the new testament for becoming Pirate King, or it seems conceivable at least. Luffy won't get the help of a yonko to find it.
