Speculations Kaido's fate by the end of this arc

I think the scabbards are preparing to capture him once Luffy defeats him. Via Raizo's DF, they could trap him in a scroll.
It would be the perfect punishment for kaido. Say Raizo's ability doesn't de-activate when he is KO'ed(like the soru soru no mi), kaido could potentially remain trapped for eternity in that scroll, never getting his long desired death.
Then someone could potentially free him by the final war and we could see kaido return as a changed man. Not exactly good, but not intent on destroying the world either.

I'm not sure. Moriah taking his shadow just to let the sun turn him to ashes at dawn would be the best scenario but i can't believe that massive sword won't play any role in the entire arc. And Luffy, Kid and Law are the only ones in the island able to credibly use that sword. Kid and Law already did too much so I'd say it's Luffy turn to shine. Or Nika since Luffy can't wield a sword.
