Speculations Kamusari and Yoru Were Inherited

Kamusari and Yoru Were Inherited
Mihawk has apparently had Yoru since Roger died and that would be 24 years ago. He is 43. That means he had Yoru since he was 19. To put this into perspective, Shanks is 39. That would mean that when Roger died he was 15. This is also the age that he had supposedly learned Kamusari.

I suggest that Shanks inherited Kamusari from Roger and Mihawk inherited Yoru from another person. Moreover, Kamusari can be inherited by people talented in Conqueror's Haki and Yoru can be inherited by people talented in Armament Haki. Though, it is rare.

It may be rare for someone to inherit them, but all that would be necessary is for such people to meet Roger and the other person. It would not be necessary for people like Shanks and Mihawk to develop Kamusari or to forge Yoru, but instead talent and luck would assist them.

It seems unlikely that Shanks could develop Kamusari and that Mihawk could forge Yoru. Roger was 53 when he died and Ryuma was 47, yet it is unclear when Roger developed Kamusari and when Ryuma forged Shusui. Is it reasonable for them to do it when at early ages?

Shanks and Mihawk are prodigies. This may be why they had special features early. Although it appears that their developments were unassisted, the special features they possess may actually be the result of fate guiding them toward where they would be most useful.

Note: Kamusari means Divine Departure and Yoru means Night.

And how do you know that Yoru is inherited by people talented in CoA?

1st of all.. in the manga Mihawk had no Blade on his back and the original scene that was adapted has made sure he had no blade too. But for some reason the anime decided to give him Yoru when they remastered the scene in Oden's flashback.

So until we actually know when he got his hand on Yoru. This agenda post of yours is invalid.

Other reason is that Mihawk Epithet was supposed to be Clairvoyant which ties back to CoO. Did he inherit his eyes from someone how about that?

man these shanks vs mihawk threads.. can't people just accept that they might just be equal?

Unless Mihawk is also the worlds greatest blacksmith and personally forged Yoru, no shit he "inherited" it. The thing is quite literally the world government symbol materialized into a sword.

Chances are, Yoru is an ancient sword. Mihawks claim to fame will be that he turned Yoru black. Something that as far as we know literally nobody else has ever done to a Supreme Grade Blade before him or since. Potentially he is also the only/second person to wield it though.

Given how Enma, a sword a whole grade below Yoru, act with its wielders chances are not all that many people had what it takes to pick Yoru up over the centuries.

Also, btw "Although it appears that their developments were unassisted, the special features they possess may actually be the result of fate guiding them toward where they would be most useful" you can literally say this about everybody in the story. Fate is Oda here. He "guided" both Shanks and Mihawk to where they can be most useful.

If Mihawk felt mean and just erased all of Baratie alongside Kriegs flaship (which we KNOW he could have done by his Ice Tsunami feat alone) he would not have even known Zoro exists while Shanks would need to chase down Luffys fruit and either get his own hand dirty or try and find Joyboy 3.0

I'm saying Mihawk didn't turn it black. Someone else did before him.

Everyone assumes Mihawk did that, but if it's ancient then someone else probably did.

One of them is a blade while other is a skill, anyway Shanks is stronger.
You mean one is based on overwhelming people and the other is based on the use of an armament.

That Santoryu guy is trying to conveniently only use some of the information the story shows.

Odds are that if Mihawk had Yoru when he was young then somebody gave it to him and it was already black when he got it.

According to these guys Mihawk did not have Yoru back then, but Shanks had Kamusari.

They have seen Mihawk *in the anime* with the sword at Roger's execution.

So, assuming Shanks and Mihawk dueled back then, what weapon did Mihawk use? When did he get the Night Blade?

That one guy asked me if Mihawk inherited eyes from birth. Conqueror Haki is from birth and black blades don't have births. They're forged (meaning to turn a blade into a black blade permanently). Those can be explained. He's also assuming he even has a perception boost. Despite whatever his name was before, it doesn't matter much now. I wouldn't know if special eyes or perceptions can be inherited. I haven't looked at that here. The other two are explainable.

I highlighted the part about in the anime because I don't consider it gospel, but he was shown with it.

The real "agenda" here is that people don't even want to question if someone else had turned Yoru into a black blade because that means he's not as great as they think he is. They make claims like Mihawk is the strongest on the planet because he forged Yoru with the strongest haki. However, they don't have proof that he did that or that it is even the strongest haki. It's just assumptions. It's very possible that Mihawk could have just been given Yoru because he was a prodigy.

No the real agenda is projecting "unknown facts" to further claim Shanks is the Strongest in the verse.

We dont know anything about Mihawk. Manga showed him having no blade back then. We don't know if he took the blade black or he made it. We don't know if he has CoC. We don't know if he is a fraud or actually strong.

Extremist will only focus on the fact that his title means he is at the top. I don't agree with that because there is no proof he won against Shanks but the story is kinda framing it as they are equal with unsettled outcome. But what make sense is those little hints that oda wrote in the story so to people like me won't say Mihawk is top 1 but equal to Shanks.

So yes we are questioning it or at least some of us but SINCE we have no idea how Black Blade are made in the 1st place we won't go out of our way to say inherited this because that. So claiming he inherited something only because Shanks inherited Kamusari is outright weird and projecting.

Look i will be open to him inheriting the blade ONLY because the style of the blade is themed around the World Gov. Or maybe he beat the previous holder.. or whatever.. but just claiming CoA passes down the blade is just dumb agenda LOL.

btw whos alt are you? you can't just be a new member and already posting agenda based threads :suresure:

question if someone else had turned Yoru into a black blade because that means he's not as great as they think he is.
So you just say the opposite and expect people to be okay with it?

there’s no proof mihawk didn’t make it a black blade so that’s that.

you believe what you want, everyone else’s isn’t obliged to take your headcanon as anything

"worlds greatest blacksmith and personally forged Yoru"

Technically he is since only a swordsman can forge a black blade

Black blades are the most elite blades in existence

Meaning they're > Supreme grade

Meaning Mihawk forged the strongest sword
