Theory Kid and Law got haki training from Gaban in Elbaf

#1
Kid and Law’s defeats against Shanks and Teach were a parallel to Luffy’s loss in Sabaody, with all 3 losses getting announced via narration.

After Luffy’s loss, he trained with Rayleigh before coming back stronger. In Elbaf, it’s very likely Gaban is somewhere on the island. We saw a silhouette of a man that looked very similar to someone Crocus talked to in a cover story.

Given how Gaban was one of Roger’s wings and Kid and Law are Luffy’s rivals, I think it would make a lot of sense for the two to get haki training from Gaban, while Luffy got his training from Rayleigh.

Ultimately, while Luffy’s rivals are out of the race for One Piece, they’re still important allies in the fight against the WG. Hence having them step aside to train would be a good way to temporarily keep them out of the story while Luffy goes for one piece, as well as a way for them to come back stronger in the final war.

I think Gaban will have some important interaction with Luffy, however I think it will be more guidance on how to find the 4th poneglyph, as Luffy is strong enough at the moment.

I think the silhouetted character at the end of Chapter 1121 is a new, yet-to-be-introduced character: the Man Marked by Flames.

Why would he do that? He has no reason to care about them.
Because he’s old and they’re the new gen and the new gen will inevitably fulfill Roger’s will when they help Luffy topple Imu

did i miss something? When did Gaban appear in elbaph?
The silhouette figure we saw in elbaf looks similar to the guy who talked to Crocus in the cover story.

I presume it’s Gaban because he’s the last major Roger Pirate we’ve yet to meet

Law Kidd and Luffy could continue to help each other by training together! =],

I would love that so much,
I don’t think Luffy needs training at the moment

He’s already completely stacked. But Kid and Law had major losses so it would make sense for them to train.

Still, I could see Luffy getting a major power up in his fight against the arc villain

Bit of a stretch

We don't even know for sure Gaban is alive let alone on Elbaf

If kid some how survived his encounter with Shanks, I doubt the giants would just let him roam free in their country he's more than likely locked up somewhere

Law wasn't anywhere near Elbaf when Blackbeard defeated him in and I doubt Bepo could swim that far

Law needing haki training is fanon headcanon. Dude already has strong enough haki to counter DF hax
He still got beat by Law and his ship was sunk

Assuming he wants to save his crew and face Teach again, he’d need to get stronger.

I think Gaban could teach them ACoA. Luffy and Zoro got it in wano, but Kid, Killer, and Law didn’t. Oda portrayed it as an especially crucial power as even the admirals have it.

Why would Scopper train two people he doesn’t know? Even Rayleigh only trained Luffy because shanks talked about him and he reminded Rayleigh of Roger.

I doubt either of those two are even on Elbaf. It wouldn’t make sense for Oda to show Kid sunk without even reaching the island if he was going to put kid on Elbaf anyways, and even less sense for Bepo to take law to an island he knows nothing about when no one’s in fighting shape when he knows his homeland is nearby.

You do not know how strong Doc Q is nor do you know whether or no the strength of the user has any bearing on such effects.
Law countered a DF ability with haki. That is all you can say for sure.
Do you believe Doc Q is above Jack or Jozu?
And yes the strength of the user definitely does have a bearing on it. Do you think Vergo would be turned into a toy by Sugar, for example?

Never said anything like this. I said that you can not know if this is relevant or not.
And yes the strength of the user definitely does have a bearing on it.
You can surely post many panels that prove this then.
Bearing on what exactly? Is the dokus poison stronger when it is used by Magellan instead of Saldeath?
If its about the scales of attacks than I would agree that it depends on the user. We had a few instances where this was indirectly stated.
For secondary effects like poisonousness or sex altering nothing of the sort exists afaik.
Do you think Vergo would be turned into a toy by Sugar, for example?
Doflamingo was sure that it would work on both Law and Luffy. Each stronger than Vergo.
Its also not about resisting the effects. Its about countering effects that already afflicted them.

From what we know right now its a simple way for Oda to rationalize why top tiers are not offed by fodder abilities.

Since the dawn of time, people have been wishing for haki upgrades on Law and Kidd, but not a single one has considered how such upgrades would benefit their combat styles... Long story short, they are incompatible with haki and nothing would change.
Even if you straight up handed them the power of handful of the very strongest, they would still remain High Tiers.
Their known abilities cannot benefit from Haki. That's why their haki feats are trash.
