Yes, there's a big difference between hanging out at one spot compared to traveling, fighting, having poison running throughout your body, starving, receiving an injury and fighting with said injury.

Oda counts down all 2 weeks throughout all the two acts. People just weren't paying attention

In that back and forth dialogue between yasu and Zoro, it is mentioned how yasu paid for his Sushi which he ate back in the first day when Luffy was captured. That is why people say so many days have passed.
