I don't think he's a lot stronger than her but it doesn't matter. What I meant was that with Oda's way of writing, it will turn into another Ace vs Yamato fight. They will end up discussing and King will acknowledge her like he did with her father a long time ago.

He may fight Yamato and I think that fight would be pretty interesting (imo a high to extreme diff either way) but it's likely BB is coming there or one of his best commanders is.
Shiryu and Lafitte shenanigans, perhaps? Problem is Oda would have to find a way to not have Shiryu just go invisible and behead her, since his power seemingly negates basic CoO

yamatos reasoning when she refused to leave wano was that someone will invade and with caribou telling the blackbeard pirate about plutons location they are coming in wano (either shiryu, aokiji or BB in person) but my bet is aokiji who is an admiral like greenbull.

Why do you think he used to bully her? He knew she believed in Joy Boy ever since she was 8. He was loyal to Kaido because he saved his life and continued to keep him alive, but Yamato shared his real dream. Maybe he used to train her in the guise of bullying her, until she was strong enough to face Kaido.
Knowing Oda, I think they will fight when Yamato reaches Udon, but then they will join forces against Teach to protect Wano and Pluton (which was hinted to reside in/under the prisoner mine and I think King knows about it).

She was misbehaving from early age so Kaido beat her up and what not. My guess was that occasionally King did that part because Kaido was too drunk. Or perhaps not, we will see.
It is possible that they join forces if Blackbeard invades...
