why should zoro fight king over big mom?
- big mom is the 2nd strongest villain of the arc
- big mom is the strongest swordsman in wano
- Zoro is one of the strongest members of the alliance and hence shouldn't waste his time fighting king when the alliance literally needs to beat 2 yonko
- zoro is one of only a few characters who can even damage big mom
Who would win in an arm wrestle between Big Mom and Mihawk? Doesn't mean she is a better "swordsman", just that she is stronger than him. Who would be able to tank more nails shot out from Hawkins without their guard up? Again not an element of swordsmanship, just being strong.
Luffy will beat them both in Wano, with help, yes maybe some help from Zoro, but also Marco, Kid and Law. But it will be him who does the majority of damage and has best portrayal against both, and he will be the one who gets the lions share of the fame and success from this. Zoro is not having a 5 billion bounty post wano for beating Big Mom

- The second strongest villain has usually if not always been the underling of the main villain, not an equal ally.
- Big Mom does not consider herself a swordsman, just like she has ego about Luffy's victory, she wouldn't accept someone being called outright stronger than her when he wasn't (i.e. Mihawk)
- Zoro won't be fighting King, he'll fight Smoothie or Queen.
- Maybe minor damage, but nowhere near enough to take her down from what he's shown or his portrayal this arc.

and in a 1v1 pure sword duel where big mom uses nothing but napoleon, she would stomp king, meaning that she is a better swordsman.
how can he possibly beat them both? Luffy got 1 shot by kaido at the beginning of the arc. Him defeating an injured kaido will already be an extreme diff fight.
but given that the scabbards are already fighting and injuring kaido, there is no reason for the other supernova to tag team kaido with luffy.
Rather, they can focus on taking out big mom, something that would easily take like 5 supernova to do.

There are benefits to fighting Big Mom but there are greater benefits to fighting King.
