For the love of God Usopp, This is pirates we're talking about; there will always be rebels who doesn't like following rules no matter what; just because some choose not to follow orders doesn't mean a hierarchy does not exist. If the all stars are equal in authority we wouldn't be seeing King and Queen scolding Jack for his failures. And King wouldn't be sticking his nose in Queen's business if it's of no concern to him. Only Sasaki and Who's who do not respond to King's summon so the rest of F6 heed his call which means he has authority over them. Only some of them do not obey the orders they're supposed to obey.

Yes, Kaido doesn't have a RHM, No Emperor other than Shanks has a RHM in their crew for that matter. It's always a bunch of strong looking dudes sharing the same title/rank. The Sweet Generals and WB Commanders share the same rank too. Even you cannot deny that Katakuri and Marco hold certain degree of authority over their respective crews. The common theme Oda has been following so far is, an unspoken hierarchy exists in all Yonko crews regardless of how their ranking system works.

I think kaido has no right hand. the 3 calamities shares same rank but king stand atop 3 of them even without manga telling us we already know that his 'king' is second after kaido in the crew since BP's theme is card name(if we count out ace/yamato) also means he is kaido's strongest member because of his name itself.
but in authority he stands equal to other calamities with exception of seniority like his relation with Jack.

I'm sure king can defeat them 1v1, but the gap in strength between him and the flying 6 in not big enough that they'll listen to whatever king told them to, unlike kaido who has clear superiority in strength over the flying 6.

that's the point, if there's no one like kaido who has the superiority in strength to the flying 6 in the beast pirates, the crew will turn into chaos, no one will listen to king besides some fodder, that's why king will never be able to take over the beast pirate, he just not strong enough like kaido to lead all the ex captain with strength alone
