Gohoumei seems to have quite a bit of faith in his remaining Generals. He is sending Ryuuhan against someone that matched Ranbihaku and leaving Junei to simultaneously hold off both Gen U and Haku Rei. Regardless, I imagine Gohoumei is going to whip out some mad defensive formations. :finally:

Gotta love Rokuomi's sense of honour. :catsweat:

I also gotta love Gyo En's chicken helmet.:denzimote:

I imagine Kouyoku will be rather miffed at being left behind. Although, with no decently strong opposition to oppose him, he could actually be in a good position to attack the Qin HQ. :bamathink:

It is not plot armour when the action taken is consistent with the character's portrayel. Lol.

Yes, killing Rokuomi immediately would be the most logical thing to do and any logically driven character should kill him in order to remain consistent.

Sento Un however is not a logically driven character. He is a self indulgent, whimsical thrill seeker whose main concern in life is finding entertainment through battle. He is even willing to go as far as putting himself and his men in strategically questionable positions just to see what happens.

He found Rokuomi too lacking in strength to be entertaining and has moved on to somewhere else that will potentially yield stronger opponents and be more "interesting".
However Sentoun had no problem killing fodder who are in his way and he was treating and mocking Rokuomi as such.

Imo, it is.
Sentoun was using it as an insult manner.
Well, it’s not an insult lol. 1,000 Man Commanders are considered high ranking members of the military.

Regardless, 1,000 Man Commanders are not fodder. Even if Sen To Un was insulting him, it doesn’t change the fact that he would consider 1,000 Man Commanders as being above fodder lol.

Your point?

I said that Sento Un is both whimsical and not a logic driven character. Your attempted counter argument basically ignores his whimsical nature and attempts to use logic against a character that is not logic driven.

Also, he was not mocking Rokuomi. If anything he was being quite playfully cordial to him for an opponent.
"Not bad" and "Not weak" are not insults. Lel.

Err when you are a general of your state and an enemy state general say you won't be a general in our state but a rank that is 4 steps below. You don't take that as an insult?

The notion of comparing him to a 1000 army commander when he is a general is an insult.

Implying he is too weak to be a general of Chu.

Not in the way that Sen To Un talked to Rokuomi lol. Like @Owl Ki said, Sen To Un was being playful and said that “he liked” how strong Rokuomi was lol. Almost like Sen To Un was glad to face someone as powerful as a Chu 1,000 Man Commander, which is consistent with a character who almost ejaculated when he found out that he was going to get to fight an actual battle lol.

If you’re paying attention to the spoilers for the next chapter,
Sen To Un also says “good” when he finds out that Rokuomi is charging his army from behind. Sen To Un is clearly not behaving rationally and is just glad to be in a situation where he has a good fight on his hands, even though that means his army will literally be fighting a battle from 3 different directions lol. This character is clearly not behaving rationally which is how he’s been written from the start. He just wants a good fight, logic be damned. Even if that means he’s going to forego slaying Rokuomi in hopes that Rokuomi would hit his army from behind, which appears to be what is happening lol.

Considering how the Chu Military is organised...

this is less of an insult and simply more of an accurate assessment of Rokuomi's capabilities compared to the average Chu officer.

Also keep in mind that the first two Chu 1000 Man Commanders we meet in the story, Kouyoku and Hakurei, were capable of matching Tou for an extended period of time and being counted amongst the upper half of the Ten Bows of China respectively.

So yeah, 1000 Man Commander is accurate for Rokuomi by Chu standards, maybe even a little generous.

Even if it was playful, it can still be an insult. But that just me, Haru didn't bother to give Rokuomi an inner bubble of being offended, so whatever. Lolz

Perhaps but that insulting the work you did in your state and implying it not good enough in Chu because the state has a bigger population.

It quite meangingless etheir way when Manu, Juuko, Genu and Sentoun and Moubu humbled Chu.

If you tell someone that is objectively bad at cooking that they are objectively bad at cooking, are you being insulting or are you giving an accurate assessment of their cooking capabilities? Lol

An accurate objective assessment is not an insult, it is a fact. Rokuomi currently pales in comparison to the average Chu General.

Here is the thing, all those individuals you just mentioned, are all either Great Generals or former Great Generals.

Everyone on that list bar Moubu, only fought Chu Generals, not Great Generals. Moubu is an exceptional outlier by Qin standards.

Now compare the average Qin General such as Rokuomi, Rinbou, Ryuukoku etc. to the average Chu General such as Rinbuken, Hakurei, Kouyoku and Coalition Arc Karin.

See a big difference in the average quality? Chu's average quality is much higher.
