Shin lacks decorum and can be annoying, he’s not a disrespectful person by nature or intent. He just wasn’t raised right.

With the exception of that 1K Commander, who was slaughtering innocents, and Kan Ki, who was also slaughtering innocents, Shin has not refused a lawful order of intentionally disrespected a superior to their face.

What more do you want from the guy? The first noble he got to know was the king himself, and they have no pretence of formality between them in private as they’re best friends.

If any of the 6GGs or whoever else important enough felt disrespected, they wouldn’t hesitate to let him know, and he’s always taken his lumps without complaint.

Yeah Shobunkun is underrated. He is older now but in his youth he was a great warrior and he is a very skilled politician. Ryofui thought that Kanyou’s sewage problems would completely cripple Shobunkun but he solved the issue in less than a year iirc.
