General & Others Koby will be the one to capture Luffy

#1
In my opinion, this is something that is all but confirmed. Yet people will still fight me on this simply because they doubt Koby. Does it sound impossible for someone like Koby to ever capture Luffy? Yes, but that's literally the point. For a marine like Koby, capturing the pirate king is a dream as big as Luffy's own dream to become pirate king. Wasn't Luffy's dream also impossible at the beginning? But here we are with Luffy being one of the most overpowered characters in the series.

The evidence:

In chapter 7, Luffy helps Koby to get into the marines. The chapter ends with a narration box that says this(official translation):
Luffy and his first crewman set sail... neither of them realizing they've made one serious mistake...
This serious mistake has to be a reference to helping Koby join the marines. There is nothing else it could be a reference to. You could argue that it refers to Luffy and Zoro becoming pirates, but it makes absolutely no sense to refer to that as a mistake. Luffy's going to be pirate king, Zoro's going to be WSSM. So what is this mistake referring to?
Well this is heavily hinted at in chapter 433 when Luffy meets Koby after enies lobby.

Koby:
I will be the one to catch you! I'll train even to become even stronger so that I can do that!
Then Koby confesses his dream of becoming an admiral, before becoming extremely embarrassed for spouting such a lofty goal. To which Luffy responds

Luffy:
You're going to fight me, right? Then you should keep that attitude
At the end of their final exchange in the arc, Luffy says these words

Luffy:
If Koby says he can do it, he can do it! I know it
What this basically confirms is that EoS Koby will be strong enough to fight and capture Luffy. The narration box doesn't lie, we were told by Oda that Luffy made a mistake helping Koby become a marine. Then when Koby says he will one day capture Luffy, Luffy himself expresses that he has faith that Koby can achieve his dream. Yet Koby doubters refuse to have faith in him even when both Luffy and Zoro do. Half of the fans here probably don't even think Koby can become an admiral during the main series, and that rather, he will become an admiral in the epilogue or something. Nonesense! Koby is going to get off-screen haki blooms, he is going to master advanced haki, and he is going to become strong enough to challenge Luffy. Luffy believes it, Zoro believes it, the damn narration almost spells it out for you. Its time to start having a little more faith in Koby.

First of all Koby wasn't a Marine when Luffy & Zoro left Shells Town & secondly even if you say Luffy helped him, Zoro didn't.
That statement refers to something both Luffy & Zoro done together, so there are few possibilities:

1. Starting a Pirate Crew ---> However i agree with you that this shouldn't be a Mistake since their Dreams rely on it
2. Defeating Morgan ---> Could it be that Morgan still have a Role in the Story (After all, Oda bothered to show him Escape Capture)
3. Joining each other --> What if the Mistake is Luffy/Zoro being together, maybe if they take Separate Paths, something would happen
4. Their Destination is Grand Line ---> What if entering The Grand Line is actually a Mistake !!!

I mean think about it, why are there Two Calm Belts with Sea Kings (That Poseidon can command) preventing almost everyone from entering Grand Line & also when you enter New World you have to pass through Fishmen Island (Where Poseidon lives & also Sea Kings).

Could it be that sailing Grand Line is what WG (Im-Sama) wants, could this be a Huge Plot Twist for the End, revealing that it was all part of the Villain's Plot, maybe Poseidon & Joy Boy didn't want people to enter Grand Line, maybe the Answers lie in the Four Blues instead

Because if WG really wanted to stop Pirates from entering Grand Line, they could have simply built Marine Bases in all Four Reverse Mountain Entrances !!

Skull represents Treasure & those Two Bones represent the Two Paths (Red Line & Grand Line)
WG already conquered the Red Line & acquired what it wants from it (National Treasure that Doffy mentioned)
Now they want something else that is in Grand Line & Im-Sama is using Pirates to get it

That's why he was carrying only Bounties of Blackbeard & Luffy
That's because he wasn't checking Powerful Pirates (Since he didn't carry Bounties of Kaidou, Big Mom for example)
Nor was he checking Powerful D. (Since he didn't carry Dragon's Bounty)
Why only Teach & Luffy? That's because they are Powerful Pirates + D.

In other words, Im-Sama predicts that one of them is gonna find what he is looking for, one of them is gonna Conquer Grand Line
Only when the Two Conquerors meet (Pirate King Luffy & Im-Sama) will the Treasure Skull appear in the Middle

It's a long Theory tbh, but i just wanted to explain what does Big Mistake means
It simply a Foreshadowing for how the entire Grand Line Journey is a Set-Up
But Luffy will make it work just like he made all Bad Encounters become in his favor

The big mistake was the fact that neither of them knew how to sail or navigate and we’re just going to get lost again.

Koby will at most capture Buggy the clown and alvida.

That serious mistake note is regarding what happens next and not about what will happen decades after.

Both luffy and zoro don't know how to sail/navigation yet they took the sail thus the big mistake of sailing without navigator.

This leads to next plot of meeting nami

So, after ZKK and then ZBS, we gonna get ZDWG before Zoro vs Mihawk? :hohoho:

I am in.

I am not saying this exactly.
BB will be the strongest ever.
If a fight like this happens it will be after the BB
But if they fight at their prime some years later from now, i believe that they will be the strongest marine vs the strongest pirate in the world.
But their fight will be like garp vs Roger not like xebec vs roger and garp or how BB vs Luffy going to be.

Luffy is never getting captured, when he would be viewed as the hero of the world or he would be dead.
also, koby would never be strong enough to defeat luffy in a fight talk less of capturing him.
Luffy is getting captured every chapter. What is the difference about getting capture by Marines once the arc is about them?

I can easily see Koby capturing Luffy since Oda is always writting Luffy dirty and getting beat and captured by fodders.

Honestly I hate Coby.

He's more likely to be a new leader of the marines. He'll get jobbed to Luffy again if they fight.

One exhausted bullet was enough to KO a full healed Coby back in MF.
