Character Discussion Law being angry tsundere is so stupid

#64
To be fair, Pre-TS Law also said that he wanted the One Piece.
Not exactly, Law said the One Piece wasn't going anywhere and that if he needed a seat he'd take it. Law became a Warlord Post-TS, so he has already accomplished that goal. Law is a pirate in the Great Pirate Age, so it's fair to assume he'd have some interest in the One Piece and would prefer to focus on that with his crew than his dark past. To assume the One Piece must've been his only priority and primary objective from a statement like that, given what has been revealed, is simply incorrect.

There is the shit stirring, laid back, competitively petty Law who is a (supposed) rival to Luffy for the One Piece and then there is the super serious, strategist Law who only cares for revenge against Doffy.
Both can be and are equally true. Law is a strategist and also pridefully stubborn. It's called having personality traits.

The former is what we got Pre-TS and after Dressrosa. The latter is what we got during Punk Hazard and Dressrosa.
Wow, Law is slightly different between 500 chapters, over the course of 2 years, in completely different situations. Shock.

Anyway, pretty much all of Oda's characters have changed over the course of 1000 chapters. Some way more than others. Law is better off and more cohesive in characterization than many of them. Just look at how Chopper was massacred.

The reason for this occurrence is that Oda has admitted himself that the Supernovas were a last minute addition that were created before the very chapter that they appeared in.
Supernovas being last minute is irrelevant to the issue at hand.

This shit came out of left field in the raid

The same Law who said that every damage counts (2 weeks prior the battle)

Now takes unnecessary damage right in the battle he was talking about, just in order to compete

He says for Kid to grow up

But then is the first one to start crying about who attacks last and looks better?

Starts crying when he has to help in a team fight, when he was the one who formed an alliance to fight the yonko together....

And then this chapter he gets mad at Kid for saying that he takes things carefully and then risks jumping off of waterfall for no reason, with a possibility of damaging his submarine and all the doctor tech on it?

This character should've died in Dressrosa or written out of the story after it. It's obvious he was included this far into the story only due to popularity and Oda has no idea what to do with him. He even threw random "D" stuff at him just so he could give his fans an illusion that he is relevant in the story.
Law isn't even a real rival. Dude is basically Luffy's subordinate. Way closer to Zoro level than Luffy level.

Yeah I agree, fuck Law I'm glad he's out of the story even if just for a few chapters
