What is blud waffling about? You can’t get further away from the topic like this guy. Also Law is more concerned with the will of D than the PK race, that was established ever since DR. Positions of strength such as a yonko title is only secondary for his character, and he‘s still the leader of the new gen alongside Kid and Goofy. He has also already beaten a yonko himself, and already has the 9th highest bounty in history. In addition, yonko titles and rivalry will all be moot point anyways since Luffy will be the only PK. Long story short, Law will still be a legendary figure come EoS on par with past yonkos or greater if he plays a vital role in the final war (which he will).
Kid was reintroduced too late, and he’s a full-time supposed rival instead of having another goal like Law. His character was doomed from the start since the last push for PK race was set in stone. Luffy, Teach and Shanks were the endgame players, I guess you could say Kid could have filled in Buggy’s role? Oda could have gone that route and made Kid yonko-level right now but it doesn’t make sense. He needs an absurd amount of time to invest in Kid and his crew for that to happen.
Thing is, Kid never needed to be a yonko.
He just needed a solid spotlight. He never got that.
Rooftop = overshadowed by Luffy and Zoro
BM fight = shared screen time with Law. Law’s attacks are stronger so a large percentage of the fandom discredits his contributions.
Post wano fight = gets one shot while Oda let Law look decent against Teach
The ultimate result is that the fandom views kid as a gag character and slanders him endlessly.

Anyways my issue isn’t that Oda makes Law look good. It’s that he does it to the complete detriment of Kid’s character.
As you said, Law has other things that make him interesting.
All Kid ever had was his rivalry with Luffy. Oda should portray Kid as powerful. Yet he’s done anything but that.
