Law has been a major character since the start of NW and he's also the man who saved Luffy from death after he was scarred by Akainu. (Also saved Jinbei)
Law has been involved with many plots /with Big events :
He was bound to sail with Luffy to Laugh Tale.
He became such an important character that Oda can't seem to get enough of writing him back in the story.
After seeing how wano and current events went, I started seeing Law as "Oden", someone who's a "captain" in his own right but accepts to sail under/with someone else on their ship in order to uncover the truths /new adventure.
This is also the same reasons why Law had the same reaction scene as Oden (who sailed with WB and then Roger later on ) did when Luffy and Kaido clashed with CoC coating.
Why didn't Oda chose Zoro or Sanji to witness that coc clash? Why not Killer? It wasn't just to showcase that Luffy is much above Law in power but also a callback or parallelism between Oden and Law as guys who can jump ships in order to find out the real truth of the world.
The same reason why he lost his ship and crew (except Bepo), his piracy career as a captain is practically over. He had no plot to remain in Winners island too.
Unlike Kidd who's stuck at Elbaf cause he has a role to play during Elbaf arc.
We will see Law and Bepo around some tiny islands near egghead when SHP leave Egghead, and this is
We even had Luffy call Law his nakama and he has no problem having Law in his ship.
Why do you think Oda has been making Law be bossed around by Luffy? Even Kid calls him out as "Luffy's lackey"
Even Luffy ordered Law and zoro to go down and rest , and Law did so lol
It might be a running joke or banter but these are hints. (Luffy doesn't do this stuff to Kidd)
Jinbei is the same, he knew Luffy since Impel down and he saved Luffy during MF when he was unconscious. He's also an ex warlord, someone who knew Luffy pre NW
Forget about Carrot, Yamato, or Bonney.
Only Vivi and Law have chances to join SHs to sail till Laugh Tale and find out the truths.
Oden joined Roger as honorary member for a year
Law will join Luffy as honorary member for 3 months till after the final war is won. (He already did 2-3 months with SHs between PH and Wano)
Btw Law isn't gonna take over Chopper or Sanji and Zoro roles, just like Oden didn't take Ray spot as RH/VC.
