General & Others Least favorite arc ?

Davy back fight/Long ring Island Arc was the most forgettable for me. Despite being a canon arc in the manga, it still end up feeling like filler to me. That's how I know its my least favorite arc.

Also, almost every arc posttimeskip have dragged on for too long. Fishman island, Dressrossa, WCI and now Wano. These arcs all have amazing moments, but the poor pacing can seriously drag down the quality of an arc. Sometimes Oda has a lot of exposition and lore, plot points that are used to great affect in the story telling and world building, other times they just feel like they end up going nowhere and a complete waste of time.

There were arcs pre time skip that had the same problem (Alabasta and Skypiea for example), but those were still shorter than the arcs are now.

I hate Punk Hazard the MOST.
I think the arc had no worthy villain to actually last for 50+ chapters!

Also, there was so much dragging... unnecessary dragging! And Oda had to make the SH crew member on many occasions look underwhelming for the sake of giving intensity and giving threat to the enemy who were NOT WORTHY. And he FAILED to make it intense ANYWAY.

It's the ONLY ARC I would not re-visit again.
Every other arc, I revisited and had joy in experiencing it once again. Even Davy Back fight, and Fisman Island. BUT Punk Hazard? Total ASS
Lol PH created that G3 Luffy 1 shotted Monster Chopper nonsense.

While in later arcs, same Monster Point tanked Prometheus without significant injury and Guard point tanked Big Mom's large hand effortlessly.

I don’t get the Punk Hazard hate: people complain about the children but they took relatively not a very big portion of screen time (just one or two chapters were dedicated to them) and the villains weren’t suppose to be the big bosses but henchmen of the real one.
Overall I found it a funny and interesting arc that introduced the New World (and pretty much all the future plot lines) to the readers and expanded considerably the lore of One Piece.

FMI

while WCI has the most awkward plot FMI is handsdown the worst arc of One Piece.
it had no substance, not thrill, no nothing.
the arc could contain Luffy befriending Shirahoshi, 1 shot Hody and Robin reading the poneglyph and that would be sufficient.
what we got instead was this 1 sided showoff slog with no real meaning behind it. the overpowered strawhat crew flexing on absolute trash. yawn.

it's really hard to pick between Fishman Island, Punk Harzard and Dressrossa. I actually managed to not read One Piece every week during those arcs. A hole chapter dedicated to people pushing the birdcage? Really? But still, I think Fishman Island takes it. It was just too boring.

Fishman Island. Had a good base, the racial tension of the Fishman pirates and some ancient lore. But Hody felt like a total nothing character. Even if I ultimately like his motivation, an arc dedicated to the SH's dabbing on a bunch of random nobodies and a giant, cry baby mermaid was insufferable. One of the few arcs I don't ever reread.

It's kind of hard to look past WCI because it's so recent. Outstayed it's welcome by about half a year, dull beginning, good middle, crap handing. Also features one of the only times I'd accuse Oda of actually being lazy- him ending two chapters drawing Sanji in near enough the exact same fashion. The exploding bracelet plot was ridiculously dealt with- did Oda originally want to have Luffy learn advanced CoA in WCI then change his mind to Wano or something? The Vinsmokes were boring villains and will be even more dull semi-redeemed allies. Yonji doesn't even need to exists as a character. The Sunny switcheroo was one of the worst cliffhangers Oda has done, and just happened because of his compulsive need to have chapters end with one. The cake plot was woefully executed. An arc carried by Capone being a surprise delight, Brook and Jinbei having their best moments as a Strawhat and Katakuri and Perospero being mostly efficient villains

Although Dressrosa has the honour of having the single worst written part of One Piece, namely the great turning point of the arc being a gag where Sugar faints because Ussop... makes a scary face. Mildly redeemed by him getting his coolest sniping moment to boot but it is hard to take Doflamingo's fall being caused by something so damned dumb.
