I am talking about an ideal world. Not the corrupt people that are motivated by greed and money only. In this premise, You're problem with affordable health care is that humans cant be trusted to do the right thing. That is a very pessimistic view. And it means that you believe that we should have affordable health care but doesn't want it cause government bad.
But there is a limit though. Like, the quality of health care services can only go so high, But the cost/price can and is almost always insanely inflated. And you CAN ensure better quality for affordable price under a just and accountable government. So it boils down to not electing people motivated by greed. ie, the quality doesn't have to rely on high prices, But we have made it so/gotten used to it being.
This is a big issue. When right vs left and capitalism vs communism is discussed, people always go to US and China, the two extremes of both sides as an example.
But we have seen that they dont work long term or at all. So my suggestion would be the mixed economy. But even that has problems.
