and then we got Blackbeard, who whatsoever has no similarity to rocks.
I guess the chances go up when we realise that the final saga is not just the focus of the strawhats, in comparison to pre-final saga where that was the main focal point.
Kidd's loss is one more example of a harsh reality check in the greatest era of piracy. If Kidd loses most of his crew and his dream is shattered, then his goal is then going to change.
Even if it does, what is that going to do for his character? is he just going to be a stronger murderer with even less sympathy? is that what kidd fans want? to see him become a stronger version of what he already is?
I think if kidd got completely humbled and made a 180 in his nature that would be way more compelling then him simply wanting revenge on shanks and joining blackbeard, just to lose with blackbeard anyway.
And so the question is what is kidd going to go after, he's definitely not becoming PK, so what is his ambition for getting stronger than he already is, because he's plenty strong enough compared to the rest of the world.
If he goes on to become a great pirate of the era kind of like a shiki or something, this does nothing for his character either, because he'll just be a lesser version of what he wanted to be. This is boring.
If Kidd fans want him to come back and go "I don't want to be pirate king, I want to be king of the world!" because he's a rocks fan, then just throw your char in the garbage bin right now.
Is he a rocks fan because Rocks directly combatted the WG? so is he going to focus on that now? his best bet would be to join the revs then. But why would kidd even do this, I know I talked about him doing a 180, but there has to be a good reason why, not just because he lost.

Sabo's boat was blown up by nobles, Kidd's got blown up by a kamusari from a pirate and his ship got eviscerated by pirates.
"Oi someone get this man a doctor! he's in critical condition!"
Then because Kidd is completely lost after his dream being shattered, and he has extreme survivors guilt being the only survivor from his crew, he goes and says "I'M SO ASHAMED TO HAVE EVER BEEN A PIRATE!!!"
Then dragon tells him to join the revs instead and fight against tyranny instead of causing it

A comeback story for Kid is something that could be worth exploring, but the issue is that how much screentime Oda would be willing to dedicate to such a thing, which would ultimately determine how well it would be fleshed out and pulled off.

The rocks pirates had multiple top tiers on it, the BBP don’t. Teach has Kuzan, but that’s about it.
Kid and Loki joining would give Teach a crew capable of rivaling the WG.
