Biased video
Tigers are bigger, have a stronger bit force and are stronger.
Tigers have won more of these matchups in historical roman documented fights as well.

I used to think Hippo's were a joke
But actually they are even more dangerous than Kinyagy with a spear.
Tigers are not stronger than lions lmfao. Tigers are stealth hunters that earn their kills by ambushing smaller prey. Lions are brute warriors that kill huge tanks like buffalo and wildebeest. Lions also fight each other frequently as they are pack animals while tigers only rarely fight other tigers since they are solo hunters.

This is literally a brute warrior that kills massive imposing tanks (lion) vs stealth hunter who ambushes weaker opponents (tiger).

In packs, seems you forgot to mention that part.
Also Tigers often take down very large animals alone—gaur (up to 1,500 kg), sambar deer, and even adult water buffalo. These are larger than most prey lions hunt.
Tigers primarily hunt deers and boar. They occasionally hunt larger prey but they are notorious for hunting smaller, weaker animals.

Lions primarily hunt African buffalo which can weigh up to 2,000 pounds, and Wildebeest which can weigh up to 6-700. In addition to regularly fighting off other lions and hyhenas from their territory.

Lions killing 2,000 pound buffalo in pairs is infinitely more impressive than tigers griefing 50 pound deer for a living lmfao.

Looks like Whitebeard missing his face vs Akainu

This just proves a Prime powered up rested Lion with 100% Adrenaline would obliterate the weak Admiral Croco

Y'all are powerscaling by stats alone, disregarding species behavior.
Lions go for the kill most of the time. Tigers are more playful animals, and would rather wound and torture than immediately kill.
Tigers are not warriors, they are stealth assassins. Because of this, they are built for stealth assassination with more slow twitch muscle fibers, and they are garbage at fighting, often relying on pathetic slap-fight methods because they are not good at fighting.

Lions are brute warriors that kill 2,000 pound buffalo in pairs, they are built with more fast twitch muscle fibers which allow for more brute strength as they are brute warriors. They fight with a lot of grapple strategies and bite far more often than tigers do in battle, again because tigers can’t fight. Because of this lions land hugely damaging bites far more often than tigers do. Lions fight each other playfully and to the death on a literal constant basis, tigers rarely encounter other predators that can teach them how to not fight like shit while lions fight for their lives every day.

Tigers survive in their environments by stealth assassinating weak opponents like deer and boar, and they never or rarely have to fight other predators. Lions survive in their far more dangerous environment by fighting as warriors and killing powerful pray via actual combat, and they also have to fight each other constantly for both training and for survival.

This is literally a no contest if you aren’t an idiot. This matchup is a 6’10 300 lbs high school girl with zero fighting experience, but she won a slap fight one time, vs a 6 foot 200 lbs mma gold medalist. Lion bodies.

@EmperorKinyagi @Owl Ki
Even though they are extinct, but thoughts on the American Lions?
They're some of the largest felids ever, bigger than any extant tiger or lion. I'm pretty sure only Smilodon populator, Panthera fossilis and maybe one of the machairodonts were larger.

IIRC they lived alongside Smilodon fatalis and the short faced bears Arctodus, who were humongous.

Eh, wait, really? I thought it was the other way round? Because tigers are solitary and such.

Both lions and tigers kill. Don't see your point.
My point was, while both being deadly, you'd have some chance to react to a tiger's attack, while the lion deals with you too quickly for reaction.

But. Watching a couple of videos, I'm changing my idea. Some of these tigers are cold. No warning, no anything. Pounce, bite, then drag your corpse away.

Even by roar alone, the tiger makes me shit my pants, while the lion gives the impression of there being wiggle room for survival, albeit a small one.
