Already addressed. If you know absolutely nothing about how cats fight (like Tigers), then this appears as though the tiger is overpowering the lion.
However, if you educate yourself for literally 30 seconds, you will realize that this lion actually bodied that Tiger. The lion didn’t go to the ground because the tiger overpowered it, the lion went to the ground because lions are ground-based grapple fighters, they fight by going to the ground, grappling, and attacking with all of their limbs and biting at the same time in a brute force display of full-body aggression. You can even see the tiger jump away with the lion claws it in the face with its feet lmfao.
Since the tiger doesn’t know how to fight, the tiger remains on its hind legs and starts slap fighting like a high school girl, ineffectually throwing out nothing attacks while the lion challenges the tiger to fight it in a way that other lions would fight it.
The lion immediately realizes that the tiger doesn’t know how to fight, so what happens? The lion gets back up on its feet and starts pushing the tiger back repeatedly using a brute force offense, to which the tiger is severely overpowered and pushed back, since tigers are shit fighters and can’t match the power of the lion.
The lion immediately loses interest and turns its back on the tiger in an extreme display of disrespect as it realizes that the tiger poses zero threat to him.
Literally yall are exposing that you, like tigers, know absolutely nothing about how predatory cats actually fight. I have three house cats, one who fights like a tiger and one who fights like a lion. The one who fights like a lion, despite being smaller, bodies the one who fights like a tiger 10/10 times lmfao.
It would depend on the cats. A 700 pound Siberian probably ain’t losing to the average 300 pound lion lol. But put a hardened 700 pound siberian hunter vs a hardened 450 pound African lion, I would favor the lion in a hard fight, yes. There are numerous reasons for this that I’ve already posted to this thread and the OP. Long story short:
-Tigers can’t fight, they are quite bad fighters among large predators. This is because tigers don’t have to fight to survive, they are stealth hunters who survive by killing weak prey, and so this is how they have anatomically evolved. They have long bodies designed for huge strides and slow twitch muscle fibers designed for endurance sprinting and leaping. They survive because they are so big and strong that nothing in their ecosystem can really oppose them. They are the biggest, strongest animal in their environments.
-Lions are neither the biggest nor the strongest animals in the African ecosystem, because Africa is such a jacked ecosystem full of monstrous animals like elephants and hippoes. Furthermore, stealth in Africa is rarely an option like it is in Asia since Asia is full of thick trees and such while Africa is largely wide-open plains. What this means is that lions have had to evolve to be able to kill creatures who are much bigger and stronger than them.
And in spite of the fact that lions aren’t the biggest or the strongest in Africa, they systematically dominate the African ecosystem, because they are literally so good at killing. They evolved with fast twitch muscle fibers which are used for brute force along with top heavy, bulky bodies. They train with each other and fight to the death on a constant basis, honing their combat skills every single day. They utilize a grappler combat style, attacking opponents with all four limbs and mauling the foe with frequent biting attacks. Tigers by comparison, are standing slap-fighters because they are actually pretty awful at fighting. Lions are grappling brutes who are capable of killing 2,000 pound buffalo in pairs, they fight other male lions to the death in brutal and violent melees every single day.
Lions are brute warriors who have honed their combat skills to perfection against 2,000 pound Buffalo, 700 pound wildebeest, giant giraffes, etc. I also posted footage in the OP of a lion beating a goddamn crocodile in a tug of war.
Tigers are stealth assassins who have perfected the art of killing opponents who are far weaker than them like deer and boar. In the video Moreha posted, you can literally see that Lion actually bodied that tiger even with a female Lion chomping on his ballsack at the same time.
Yeah bro. The more you educate yourself here, lions body. I’m sure there have historically been tigers bread for combat such as the tigers in Roman coliseums. If you actually bread a 700 pound cat for combat, sure the lion would struggle, but as these creatures exists in their natural habitat, lions destroy them.
I seriously don’t see how you can argue against any point this guy makes in these videos.
Lions are pure brute strength warriors, bread for combat, accustomed to battling each other to the death and taking down absolutely massive animals such as the African Buffalo which can weigh up to 2,000 pounds.
Tigers are great but they are more like stealth assassins, often targeting smaller and weaker foes and rarely fighting each other to the death, moreso fighting until one Tiger retreats. Lions engage in territorial and pack warfare on the regular.
I literally have never seen any pro-Tiger bullshit hold any water. All pro-tiger arguments are based on out-dated arguments on size while completely ignoring the natures of each species and also disregarding that lions are more built for combat than tigers are with more fast-twitch muscle fiber and a top-heavy anatomy more built for pure strength combat instead of stealth rushdowns which is what tigers are more built for.

It did. The tiger literally ran away after the lion dug its backfoot claws into the tiger’s face. Lol
In a ground fight between animals, the one who disengages is the one who lost.
This is an extremely liberal usage of ¨running away¨, the Lion pushed the Tiger back slightly lmao, Plus, isn´t the lion the one to disengage at the end anyway?
Look at this guy
A single lion would be shitting bricks seeing an elephant
The tiger knows he controls the scene, there are no stronger animals that can keep up with his moves, and they are few to begin with
In power its not up to debate, a tiger weighs 20% more than a lion, he is more agile and experienced as he hunts alone
Lions fight for control over turf for the most part, occasionally when a couple lionesses fail he jumps in like a chad and secures a prey
At the end of the fight, the lion literally forces that tiger about 10 feet backward lmfao. Again in the animal kingdom, this means the tiger is getting bodied horribly. Which makes sense, tigers take a weak standing fighting stance, utilizing weak slapping attacks while lions use brute force aggression and full body muscled advances.
That Lion hardcore disrespected that Tiger there. Turning your back on a predator in the animal kingdom is complete humiliation. That Lion disengaged and turned his back on that Tiger because he lost all interest in that fight, that’s how little the Tiger was actually pressing him.
Notice the difference in the Tiger frantically backing away from the downed lion after the lion clawed his face with his hind legs, keeping his full attention on the lion and staying combat focused, with how the lion just completely lost all respect for the Tiger, completely disengaged from combat, and walked away without caring.
In the animal kingdom, this is what we call that Tiger getting completely humiliated lol.

The Lion pushing him back isn´t really the Tiger getting bodied though. The Tiger would be getting bodied if the lion could put him on the ground, but this is something the lion failed to do. Even when the lion chooses to go to the ground, he can´t dominate the Tiger, and is forced to kick him, turning it into a normal fight again.
You may have a point about the Lion turning his back, though the context of the video is weird for me. It seems like the Lion started the fight, but would he really end it because he lost interest? That just seems odd for an animal like a lion I guess.
This isn’t how lions fight. They don’t win fights by bringing their opponents to the ground, they win fights by mauling opponents with their bites/scratching attacks. Which is exactly what the lion did to that tiger.
To a layman, the lion going to the ground looks like the tiger overpowering it. To anyone who actually knows about the animal kingdom, the lion went to the ground to take full advantage of being able to attack with all four limbs and its bite at the same time as lions fight by dealing rapid damage with all of their weaponry at once, instead of just slap fighting like the tiger does.
He did dominate the Tiger. The Tiger disengaged with the Lion immediately because the Lion immediately dominated him. The Lion immediately clawed the tigers face with its hind legs, which is exactly what the Lion wanted to do. The lions body was completely protected by all four of its limbs as well as its teeth which are all poised to attack. Meanwhile the tiger was only attacking with its completely exposed face and front paws only, again because tigers can’t fight.
Literally less than .5 seconds into an actual grapple engagement with the lion, the tiger immediately retreats as the lion gets a free scratch on the tiger’s unprotected face. The lion knows that the tiger retreated and immediately knows that it has the advantage, so the lion resorts to its second method of combat, a brute force rushdown, forcing the Tiger back 10 feet. The Tiger, unable to adapt from its one trash fighting style of slap fighting, is immediately overpowered. The lion instinctually knows that it has won this contest of dominance and turns its back on an angry opponent, disinterested.
Mind you this all happened as a female lion simultaneously attacked the lion’s ballsack. Lol
