Character Discussion Loki’s attacks...

#1
Are Loki’s attacks really that much of a threat? Like, should we really overhype Imu just because he can tank them, assuming Loki somehow manages to land a hit on Imu? Because, let’s be honest, Loki hasn’t exactly been successful so far. Just look at all the times he’s tried to hit Imu...

He only managed to hit Imu once, and that was while Imu was distracted. So basically, he landed one hit because the guy wasn’t paying attention.

My main point is that Imu shouldn’t be overhyped just for tanking Loki’s attacks, and Loki shouldn’t be overhyped for his AP either.

In this chapter, Loki literally says he’s going to use an attack that’s “clearly bigger than the others,” and he makes it clear that this is supposed to be a huge attack. It was, in fact, his strongest attack with Ragnir so far.

And the crazy part is that Luffy simply used the attack as propulsion. He completely took the attack head-on and is still fighting like absolutely nothing happened. He basically ate Loki’s strongest attack like it was nothing and even asked Loki to give it everything he had in the next attack.

Ancient Giant strength + Ragnir, the legendary hammer + lightning + Haki, with Loki himself saying the attack was “way bigger” than his previous ones...

And Luffy had no problem with it.

There’s literally no difference between these two panels. Luffy is genuinely insanely durable. Actually doing meaningful damage to this guy with blunt attacks is a pretty ridiculous task.

Sanji deserves an apology.

Number 1 for a reason.:finally::finally::dogkek:

Two things you should take away from this thread:
  • Imu doesn’t need to be overhyped for being able to tank Loki’s attacks, because Luffy can do it without any problem.
  • Loki doesn’t need to be overhyped for his AP either, because Luffy is able to take his attacks without any problem.
  • Kaido really is the ultimate monster for simply destroying Gear 5 with blunt attacks.

Imu’s AdCoC omen nukes did superficial damage to Hajrudin, Oda gave up a long time ago. Imu is basically the most durable/tanky character in the series, Imu healing from Loki’s attacks is irrelevant.

I have full confidence that any AdCoC Loki attack one shots Kaido, the Luffy form 1 Imu neg diffed is stronger than Kaido.

:milaugh:

Loki has never seen anyone withstand as much damage as Imu, including Harald, who took on Gaban and Shanks at the same time and was ultimately slain by Woki.

To remind you what happened when ZoLo clashed with Imu and what happened when ZoLo clashed with Crydo?

Better comparsion!

- Loki clash with Gram (wielded by Imu)

- ZoLo clash with Gram (wielded by Bummers)

Okay. The hammer is still blunt force. The thing that Luffy is FULLY immune to

it’s still lightning as the main thing Loki was charging, whch Luffy is immune to

And Oda CHOSE to not do black CoC lightning
On it
Luffy isn’t immune to raw physical strength. Didn’t you see the panel of Kaidou beating the shit out of him? Loki used lightning + raw physical strength + Haki and still did nothing to Luffy. The attack was simply too weak to do anything significant.

Armament Haki can be used invisibly, and the same goes for Conqueror’s Haki. Why would Loki try to hit Imu without using ACoC? Is he stupid or something? He already hit a distracted Imu with ACoC and everything else while thinking about Joy Boy, and it did absolutely nothing. And he seriously thinks hitting him without it is going to do anything? Come on.

Hol up bro genuinely raised an incredible point

Kaido genuinely damaged G5 Luffy with pure blunt force. I've been saying that the onslaught G5 survived in ch. 1047 would kill any other top-tier and this actually reinforces that.

Even Loki can't draw blood from G5 Luffy with blunt force, so Kaido is an absolute monster for doing so.

Excuse me? Since when did Kaido ever NOT USE HAKI when beating up Luffy?

Why would Loki try to hit Imu without using ACoC?
Who knows. Oda chose not to do the black lightning so that’s that.

I mean there was black lighting on Loki’s Thorheim, quite literally the first time we ever saw Regular lightning mixed with Black lightning

so when Oda chooses not to do it again, what are we supposed to think?

If Loki used aCOC in his swing even though there was no black lightning it means aCOC isn't always visible.
Meaning Luffy was using aCOC all the time in Egghead as there was no reason for him to hold back
Meaning there's not a single argument in favor of Kaido > Kizaru as a mentally nerfed Kizaru food diffed the man who defeated him lol
