Chapter Discussion Luffy calling out Usopp on his BS this chapter

I hope Luffy keep at it. With the captain taking action you might see Zoro follow suit soon, he already has history with Usopp (Water 7) & Chopper (Long Ring Dong Island), Luffy (Punk Hazard) asking them to man up or stop f*cking around.
From what I remember he has never said something like that to Nami, Sanji, Robin, Franky, Brook or Jinbei. Closest being asking Sanji to wait vs Big Mom but that’s more of a reverse case.

Luffy won't ask a crewmates to get stronger or whatever, he knows not everyone needs to be a fighter.
The cat is a different situation, Luffy knows that Usopp can take care of it, that's why he is calling Usopp on it.
If it was something he couldn't handle he wouldn't care.
But like, Usopp needs to be more reliable at his own playing level

This is first thing in a long while that Luffy did that I ended up liking.
Usopp needs to step up and start pull his own weight.

But he should at least do SOMETHING worthwhile. The least he could do is be a glorified waterboy and fetch Zoro some booze, or hunt some meat for Luffy with that stupid Slingshot so he can get a food buff when he turns into an old man again. Shit, gather some herbs for Chopper for all I care!
Anything other than the usual "tell stories, cry, get folded, MAYBE fire his slingshot at some fodder, rinse and repeat" would already be enough for me at this stage.
I still believe in Usopp and I think I have a good guess as to why he is still an incompetent coward.
I don't think he will ever change, not fully at least. I think he will have his personality split, the coward we all know and the opposite of it.
There have been several hints for this, Cavendish and Hakuba just like Usopp and Sogeking.
He has to wish a brave half of himself into existence, in a form of ability like Zoro's Asura.

He wont ever become physically strong. My money is on Tilestone (who?!) vs Usopp every day of the week.
However, Izo was a 500M bounty and he didnt strike me as a particularly strong guy either. Even Marco isnt all that in strength.
What Usopp could develop is a CoO approaching Fujitoras, that was seriously impressive in Dressrosa vs Sugar. And he could replace those toys he uses with, I dont know, GUNS. Same as Izo, Kaido, Doflamingo, Yasopp.
Adding that could propel him to the level of Izo, someone he has history with and should use as a role model.
Usopp already has top tier aim so secondly he needs to learn to imbed the bullets with haki. This is the fault of Luffy & Zoro. Both are adept at CoA, Zoro even with a weapon/object, but neither has taught the crew anything. Send Usopp to Amazon Lily for 2 months to learn to imbue projectiles with haki.
