We have Buggy that DF makes him immune to Zoro fighting style (swords)

Arlong that fought a close death Zoro

Then Enel that was a logia and Oda retconned Zoro's haki so Luffy could be the only who beat him (plot)

And if you think on mentioning Kaido don't forget that Luffy was beat up by him first while being fresh while Zoro had to tank Hakai

So is not like Zoro got humiliated because Luffy is stronger and so is his opponent but plot requires to hold Zoro back.

Btw we are ignoring Brook and Lilith plotline. If the Sunny cannot be stopped, at some point Nami and the others will be forced to leave the island. And Jinbe and Zoro will probably go with them, the shield is still active and somebody has to protect them. Zoro leading part of the strawhats like Sanji did after Dressrosa would be really cool.

This latest chapter 1105 basically confirms that Luffy will be captured again (is there any arc he isn't captured at all?) since he can barely move and is surrounded by marines that surely has kairoseki since they are dealing with a crew that has some DFs users on it.
