Powers & Abilities Luffy Getting Better at G5?

#1
Is Luffy getting better at G5 usage? Before 1128 whenever Luffy used G5 he would turn into an old man and needed food to recover. But in 1128 he turned into G5, laughed for some time then punched the snake and then returned to base without any side effect. So is Luffys G5 usage and stamina getting better or was the usage duration so low that it did not have the extreme side effect?

The other thing is that Luffy did not use this much haki when he was fighting in G5 at Egghead so the stamina tax should be higher than just G5 usage. We have seen Luffy get better at usage of each gear over time, from requiring full body G2 to just partial G2 for specific attacks, from getting turned into a child after G3 to not getting affected at all, from becoming hakiless after G4 and requiring protection to getting in and out of G4 for single/few attacks.

For comparison after Wano since Wano G5 usage was under already extreme conditions.
G5 vs Lucci - Turns into an old man for 2 mins (however long that tube ride was for)
G5 vs Kizaru - Turns into old man until he is fed food by some mysterious person
G5 vs Gorosei - Turns into old man and recovers by eating giant food
G5 vs Gorosei 2 - Turns into old man and recovers during party
G5 vs Snake - Does not turn into old man

Comparing G5 progression to G4 imo suggests that Luffy is now better in entering and leaving G5 with almost no effect but a longer duration fight will still have the side effects. For example Luffy used G4 to destroy the ship alongside Kid and Law while going for Onigashima raid and he also one shot that number in parallel to X Drake in G4 while not sustaining any side effects like previously shown however on RT he had to be protected by Zoro and then also was at the end of G4 when Guernica interfered.

This is the same as when people were saying he was getting better at g4 when he used it for one attack in the boatride to onigashima lol

But his time limit was still there for g4, and it still exists.

So i doubt the brand new power up would be any different. He can use it for single attacks or very short bursts and avoid turning into an old man. But any prolonged usage will result in the side effect.

In the first place, he didn't turn into old man after defeating Kaido and went unconscious and this old man thing got introduced in egghead...he will again turn into oldman as per Oda's convenience...

I don’t like how he’s over doing it. It only looks good as a last resort against top tiers but over doing against everyone else makes G5 looks less special and meaningless now. G4 could’ve handled Lucci and transforming against animals is unecessary.

I answered this in another thread

Goofy has ALWAYS been able to revert back from G4/G5 if he doesn’t use up all its Haki/stamina

If he deactivates it himself: he’s fine and can move. See Cracker, Katakuri, Yamato combo-attack, Numbers

If he’s forced out of it: he’s out and immobile. See Doffy, Rooftop, Kaido 1v1

That’s the way it’s always been
By the way BM negged G4 with a single casual base haki attack, the quickest and easiest anybody has taken Goofy out :gokulaugh:
