General & Others Luffy is 90% responsiblie for Blackbeard's Success

What 90%
1. Got Yami Yami no Mi = didn't involve Luffy.
2. Got his initial crew = didn't involve Luffy.
3. Became Shichibukai = partly involved Luffy. He became Shichibukai for 2 reasons, empty seat (involved Luffy) and defeating Ace (didn't involve Luffy, Ace was the 1 coming to him).
4. Got his newer ID crewmembers = involved Luffy.
Yet by Luffy's "help" alone, Blackbeard would still be dead by Magellan. He only succeded after Shiliew also helped him.
5. Got Gura Gura no Mi = didn't involve Luffy, unless you wanna count his (newer) crewmembers' interference was also partly thanks to Luffy's raid on ID
6. Became Yonko = didn't involve Luffy
Beside that, he was also strong since the beginning. Being able to make young Shanks scarred and scared, and almost break Ace's neck by mere punch. Those feats didn't involve Luffy too.
Having a body that can consume 2 DFs without dying also doesn't involve Luffy.

The first reason is wrong, it is like sating that if I leave a job I'm responsible for the guy who takes my place next to be hired. Me leaving the spot can be somewhat of an indirect cause yet if the guy was not good enough or was willing to take that place he would not have it, plus it is not set in stone that shikis have to stay 7 no matter what or that WG can not dispose of weaker ones to make space for strongers (or simply because the weaker were not up to the task any longer)(See Moria).
About the 2nd.. that imo was caused by BB before Luffy, I mean BB knew that Luffy would come there to make havoc and so he could slip in thanks to that anyway the reason for Luffy to go there was Ace and Ace being there was because of BB and BB ultimately knew this and used it to his advantage.

Blackbeard could take out Crocodile or Hancock or Moria by himself if he had too, I don't think that's a problem.
Luffy was lucky that Ace was his brother, as Blackbeard said, when Ace learned that Blackbeard was after Luffy he couldn't turn back from the fight.
As for Impel Down, Blackbeard helped Luffy and Jinbe as well.
He also removed the poison that stopped Buggy and other escapees in Impel Down.
And he also destroyed the guards at the front gate before entering to Impel Down.
Then they managed to pass the gates of justice thanks to Blackbeard;
They both helped each other.

So no matter what, Blackbeard is at the mercy of Luffy and Ace. He should be thankful to Ace and Luffy.
Which shows why Blackbeard is the most competent pirate. He doesn't sit on or waste opportunities.
If opportunities present themselves Teach is grabbing a hold of them, starting with Thatch. Even in the latest post reverie chapter he was looking to make a move fast because something had popped up. Teach simply gets shit done.

There is no guarantee that he will find Luffy at Water 7 or Long Ring Island only.
Even if he did, Blackbeard has no bounty. Luffy has. Garp is not going to openly protect his grandson and interfere on when someone is going to capture Luffy's bounty.
You think Aokiji and Garp will not let Blackbeard capture Luffy? For what reason? Blackbeard wasn't a wanted man like Luffy was.
