We know Blackbeard is impulsive and obviously, facing a top tier which Aokiji is based on misbehavior of his subordinates, when Blackbeard in fact planned the opposite (making Aokiji an ally) may or may not make Blackbeard react that way.
You can sweat scale as much as you want: Aokiji is a subordinate to Blackbeard. That is, after you initially tried to argue that Aokiji isn't a titanic captain but just an ally or partner.

So why do you say Luffy has to directly settle things with Akainu when Momonosuke did not have to with Kaido? Luffy now is literally Nika, the liberator of the world and the archenemy of Imu, while Akainu is just the public face of the Marines.

Bro, it's fine by me if Akainu happens to be the EOS villain and betraying the WG, that's up for Oda to decide and something I would probably even prefer over Akainu being a dog that serves his masters. But as it stands, Akainu is just a replaceable tool (not the first and not the last Fleet Admiral). With Nika being the liberator of the world and the Revos understanding that fighting Imu it out of their scope and reserved for said Nika, they may as well decide to fight the WG's and Tenryuubito's main and strongest soldiers, which are the admirals as the direct bodyguards.
I also left room for the possibility of Akainu facing Dragon, so Sabo vs. Akainu isn't set in stone for me, but definitely a possibility.
