Future Events Luffy vs Akainu is 100% meant to happen, the Sabo shouts are nothing more than damage control

The quicker you guys come to realize it the better it is.

-Oda states that when your dream is crushed, it is a defeat as painful as death, Luffy doesn't kill his opponents because by doing so, he gives them another chance at achieving their dream. Akainu very much made Luffy question his ability to become Pirateking, Luffy survived and got a second chance at his dream.

-Luffy clearly has PTSD from Akainu and reacts strongly at the simple mention of his name
-Sabo on the other hand says he won't blame the BB pirates for what happened to Ace because it is the life that he chose.

-Oda's comments in interviews already put Akainu on the highest tier of strength in the verse, but he also says he wants to CHERISH him as a character. Sure doesn't sound like something he'd say about a non important Blueno-type fodder uh? @Tejas

-Akainu killed Ace and played a major role in WB's death

-Teach killed WB and played a major role in Ace's death

-In Chapter 650 Jinbe tells Luffy about both Akainu and Teach rising to new heights

-In Chapter 579 both of them portrayed as unstoppable forces from Koby's perspective and he thinks they're both in the wrong and therefore VILLAINS.

There's no world in which Luffy doesn't fight these two


So my dear Lonko fans, stop the damage control, I know exactly why you guys are pushing for some silly Sabo vs Akainu headcanon, it is because you're afraid of the implications a much stronger Luffy than the current one vs Akainu would have :cheers:

Yeah, I don’t understand how people can think Teach was portrayed as an endgame player but not Akainu

Probably Luffy will fight Akainu but, at the same way, Sabo has his reasons for fighting him, so idk.
It's still a theory btw, it must be noted that it has no implications on power scaling, that should be objective.

What reasons does he have?

He literally said he's not interested in avenging Ace and does not blame anyone for his death

All he wants is to have Luffy's back nothing else.

Meanwhile Luffy has a massive massive build up to that fight

Btw i support Sabo vs Akainu more than Luffy vs Akainu. But its not powerlevel tho. Luffy is the type to lose against Flampe, so its fine if Akainu win in ambushing or attacking him. I simply wanna give Sabo a spotlite since Luffy will have way too many enemies in the future especially when Imu will be involved.
