We saw how after Luffy beat Kaido, the WG wanted to remove the D from Luffy’s blunted poster. Imo they will eventually do this after Luffy finds One Piece, the same time Roger had his D removed.
Whereas Roger’s name became Gold Roger, I think Monkey D Luffy will become Monkey Dluffy.
And Oda will probably make a running gag out of this.
