Me when I don't understand that Luffy got power-ups in practically every fight after Caesar, warranting the struggle he had to go through and the help he got.

I know Luffy had G4 since his training, but it was treated as a new power-up against Doflamingo. His performance against Kizaru hasn't been the best, but he definitely didn't lose round 1 (I'd say it was a draw) and is on the way to winning round 2 with no power-up.

Let's compare it. 1 Luffy's condition is MUCH worse than Kizaru's (after the fight). 2 Kizaru rose 3 chapters earlier. 3 Luffy got food twice and still couldn't get up early. 4 Kizaru was clearly not 100% in that fight. 5 Have a 1-on-1 fight and no food.
