Nah, Zoro will master both through sheer combat experience.

Why would he learn techniques that he has no use for?

Zoro doesn’t have CoA Emission or Internal Destruction.

He has CoC, CoC Infusion, CoA Hardening, CoA Imbuement and Observation.

Why tf one would need that when His Basic ryou was slicing Kaidou.

Give Sanji all advanced haki types and a god fruit, it wont help him, just like it didn't help Luffy either.

Oda’s clearly hinting at Luffy getting another CoO upgrade or he’s turning the VoAT into a powerup so that’s next most likely. His ACoC will probably improve pretty soon too since we know there are levels to it (WiFi, Observation Killing)

Zoro may or may not learn Internal Destruction from observing Luffy use it in battle. People say it’s useless for swordsmen but Rayleigh has it for a reason. He probably needs to max out armament for Black Blades anyway

Sanji’s getting Future Sight sooner rather than later. It’s also all but guaranteed that he’ll awaken (base) CoC at some point so maybe Elbaf is the arc for that

Nothing more, nothing less. Swordsmen have no use for it.

This will probably be the most relevant ability, narrative-wise, for solving the puzzles from the 2nd and 1st world but I doubt it will have any combat application.

I think it's easy to make the mistake of assuming Ray isn't a guy who uses hand to hand combat as well. The assumptions between parallels are too strict, like TS stating how many ___ were under Rocks.

Sanji should have FS but then again Usopp should have regular observation. It's been 13 years.

Yeah but Zoro also has no-sword style so it’s not like he’s a complete rookie when it comes to fighting without a weapon

Rayleigh was primarily a sword fighter and is at his strongest with a sword in his hand. The same can be said for Zoro

I feel like Rayleigh having it is clearly implying that it’s useful for swordsmen. It also feels right since armament is supposed to be Zoro’s best category

Sanji will have FS soon imo wouldn’t be surprised if he had it by the end of Elbaf. I could easily see Usopp getting a CoO upgrade as well along with hopefully unlocking armament

It think Luffy will get a unique ACoC related ability like Shanks observation killing. He will also master VOAT, and get the WiFi haki.

Zoro will get black blades and hone his CoA further.

Sanji will get Futuer Sight.

No sword style is functionally a gag. It's not as though Zoro is incapable of fighting without swords or refuses (actually he did once but still) but he has no interest. Whereas Ray specifically used his unarmed style to train Luffy over the two years. Right now Zoro hasn't shown the interest in training someone in anything other than kenjutsu. I think Ray's dedication to the sword is overstated by comparison.
