You mean Blackbeard is not ready for Luffy. Luffy is a walking Ancient King of the World. Luffy has not been serious even once during his journey with the exception of Water 7 and Marineford.

Not once has Luffy been serious in onigashima.

When he is serious, you saw how strong he was at marineford and how fast he powered up at Enneis Lobby. When he wants to turn up the heat, he is unconquerable.

Look at the split second he was serious in Udon Prison, he recruited all those samurai from beyond broken. He has belo betty's power when he wants to rally people.

They will never catch up to Luffy or achieve anything but Oda continues to push them as top 3 so i guess we have to wait until wano ends

Remember that after Wano Kid will most likely turn his attention back to his original target which was Shanks. This could set up future conflict between him and Luffy.

It's Law and Kid. Kid is the more obvious comparison to Luffy, being that they're both hotheaded and want to be the Pirate King, but when you really break it down, Law is also positioned to be an inside threat should the Straw Hats get in the way of his goal.

Think about it. Law has to go to Laugh Tale with the road poneglyphs to find out the Will of D., which coincidentally houses the One Piece and probably more information on the WG. So everything Law wants lies at the end of the new world.

And how did Roger get the title of Pirate King anyways? That's right, he conquered the Grand Line. Which Law would have to do to achieve his goal according to Robin, just like Luffy.

Now, Law could just hitch a ride with the strawhats, and that's that. He's no rival at all. But where's the fun in that? Perhaps after Wano when the yonko are down and the alliance is off there's a race to Laugh Tale.
