General Mafia General Chat

@Naomi oh how much I pity you, truely.
All this drama queen shit just because I didn’t give you the free pass others give you and pushed for your fair lynch … cry me a river, such a bad bad player.
I never cried that is you. Who went two full days of toxic trash talking others over a joke or the way flower played. That you death tunneled her and made the thread unpleasent to be in for others.

the fact you keep mentioning me shows how much you are butthurt after being called out on your toxic behavior and still doing it here.

so according to this we should all stop using our brains and instincts and believe you regardless of our own reads you, just because.
I have never seen a more pathetic mentality to date, legit thinks she is entitled to play a pitiful persona whenever she gets pushed in a game where pursing truth requires you to be borderline offensive, not that I ever offended her.
if you seriously are willing to sign up next game after your disgusting behavior and awful entitled selfishness then you are legit a lost cause. I have never been more disgusted about someone showing delusional self-pitiful straightup pathetic behavior in an online game and has the audacity to defend them with a straight face.

you have ruined this game ----> not my fault.
you have seriously compromised the boundaries between real and gameplay -----> I will continue to be a deaf entitled self-proclaimed good player despite the fact I'm being told to act in an irrational way for a fucking online game.

you are gone beyond repair, enjoy your virtual online game experience, exposing your true colors meanwhile.

I'mma say it from now, wait until she openly cries in the general mafia thread when this backfires on her and more people call out and confront her for her unacceptable in game behavior.... my bet she will say this is self defense and she had only the best intentions for the game.

@Fujishiro find a sub man, this bad player has completely lost sight on what's friendly gameplay and what's self-entitled passive aggressiveness, she is not even considering that I stopped playing the game because of how bad her tantrums have gotten. thinks I'm still using this as a tactic.

You are a plague to this game, flower, a bad influence and a lost cause. I feel nothing but pity towards you. all this for a game? grow up.

btw if no one can see it, this is what full blown narassist acts, and gas lights others. The amount of manipulative talk in this, while being complete toxic pos while acting like a victim, surprised you didn’t get mod kills here.

Also ali stop tagging me your just pure cringe, while you cry about other toxicty while your the main one who actually doing it.

@Ratchet I want to present a formal request that condemns and punishes any player that intentionally ignores other players in the same game, or straight up uses the ignore feature, this is considered highly malicious behavior and disturbing to the integrity and peace of the game and invites hostility …

players who are bothered by another player behavior or words or whatever can take that to the host of section mod, but are not allowed to continue playing the game while putting that player on ignore, especially if the other player is actively mentioning them in game play to solve.

Congratulations on being a kid.
You got a free pass from others, that’s all you are, when someone who’s not inside your “mob” tried to challenge you, you started saying weird shit that I would not allow anyone to say to me.
”obsessed” and some other weird shit you said in the zemmi game that made me want to go all in on you and give you some of your own medicine, but fuji talked me out of it.
I honestly don’t give a rat’s ass about you, for me, a players worth is how much fun they can bring to the game, you are zero fun, you require others to knight you the moment you enter a game, which was ok for a while but turned real sour once you started thinking you are immune to questioning or being challenged, same as flower, who also took the additional step of having a petty party for herself and claiming to be emotionally hurt for me calling her gameplay bad when she was the one throwing slurs at me.

stop having this fantasy about you being the center of the world, calling people obsessed and cringe just because you they push or challenge you within the game, you are not that interesting, truly, and you are a killjoy.

I agree that putting people on ignore has no place in the game. I do think it's pretty childish, as much as I've been tilted before it hasn't really gone so far as to needing to mute their posts.

I've been thinking about what to do with it. Because like I've explained to you before, there is almost no real way for me to prove that someone has someone else on ignore. For example, let's say Flower puts you on ignore, but doesn't mention it in the thread. You post towards her but she just doesn't reply. I can't moderate that, because there is no way to force anyone to reply to every question, that just doesn't work (and will be abused). Ans on a wider topic, we've had more than one undesirable person join, and use these games as a means to harass (mostly female) players, and frankly I worry about what I would possibly be enabling by having a rule that forces people to respond when someone speaks to them. I won't do that, to put it in plain terms.

So that leaves me sort of armless here. I think, on consideration, I will enforce it as a rule that you can't put players on ignore, and that doing so will come with a strike. But this doesn't really solve the issue. It just stops people from publicising what they're doing. Maybe that's all I can do, and it might de-escalate things, but I don't think it's a real solution.

Sadly, people just need to get better at emotionally controlling themselves, especially when they're suspected. It's one of those areas that I feel like there is no rule or call of action I can employ that will help encourage the right behaviour. It just needs people to accept that they will be asked to defend themselves and that they may struggle to get through to them. In conjunction with this, and this may come across as a little tone deaf, but I think people need thicker skin in mafia as well. I think you need to be able to remain calm and unaffected when someone says "yeah this is a stupid fucking thing to say", and to accept that they may get annoyed by how some people speak to them. It's the sort of game where things get heated, but after it ends we should be able to shake hands and leave it in the game, knowing that nothing is truly personal or intended to really wound.

I dunno. It's a work in progress. I think we'll start with the rule and then see how it goes. Maybe I'm weong and it works as a deterrent and people start to be able to control themselves better and we can just play some mafia. Frankly speaking, in 13 years of playing mafia I've never known it to be as frequently personal and messy at it is nowadays, across many sites. I think somewhere we've lost this ability to just have a heated competitive game, to call each other liars, and challenge each other, without causing massive fights over it. I honestly feel like I spend more time wrangling the community than I do actually trying to implement things that I want to implement. It is what it is I suppose, but it does get tiresome having to clean up messes after almost every game.

Why the hell are you insulting Naomi? You just talked about this being a game for fun, but you're then going off on Naomi after going off on Flower. You can give constructive criticism to people, but what you're doing isn't it.

when she learns to stop calling people obsessed or creeps in game just because I‘m pushing someone then your argument would be fair krogo.

you don’t see me calling her creep or something awful no?

I think I'm going to put a pin in this convo now - nothing you guys are saying to each other is furthering any sort of reconciliation nor is it productive. While I can empathise with your frustration in part Ali, there are ways and how's of presenting this - getting embroiled into a back and forth argument where you're hurting insults isn't really any better, doesn't matter who you perceive as starting it.

And @Naomi please don't call people creeps without due cause. And if you really feel that way, please use the report functions that the site provides, if someone is being a creep I like to think I've set a pretty clear precedent on how they are handled here.

Fair enough.
I’m not familiar with the “undesirable people” using that to harass female members, but now that you mention it, I think the risk is too great to allow that to pass, and it’s not worth it for the sake of a game, so I think we rely on people’s good faith on this one.

‘I said creep after he insulted me, I have no reason to be nice to someone who choose to act extremely toxic and rude.

I'm not asking you to be nice, I'm asking you not to return fire with fire. Please use the report button and let us moderate it. I'm generally quite lenient towards this stuff, admittedly, but at the very least I can try to diffuse the situation - insulting people back just adds fuel to it. Please just step back, report it if you feel it needs to be reported, and leave it at that.

why are you even still talking, naomi?
I have nothing else to say to you, except for the fact that your plot armor is no longer there, imagine having to rely on others giving you blind pass and raging when someone calls you out for it demanding that to stop.
