I really want to travel to South America.

Travel there and your spanish will progress in no time! Well not so much in a week or two, like the time it takes for a usual vacation... But a few months to a year and you'll be able to speak it. You speak italian right? That should help a lot.

I've been there as the other half of my family is from a south american country.

I want to go to Mexico, Brazil Egypt, Japan(not for weeb shit, for tourist shit), S.Korea, Somewhere in Africa(i want to see Hippo), and an Eastern European country.

If all goes well, I can do an advanced course of Spanish next year and spend a month in Spain. But South America seems more appealing because of the different dialects of Spanish. I wanna learn them all.

At least in the country I have origins in, they speak slowly so you understand better.

Best of luck in learning those dialects, it will be extremely enriching for your general culture, at least for that part of the world! Spanish from spain vs. south america is different, starting with the lisp lol but I believe Argentina has a very distinct way of using the language.

Thanks. Once I'm completely done with studying and the Covid situation is better I wanna spend a year traveling. I can work as a translator from anywhere.
