So been brainstorming with players & the mafia mods, instead of restricting claiming in ToS. We are gonna attempt to basically make it pointless in most scenarios.

Notifications will be changed to just these

  • You have Died! (Any death in the game)
  • You have been Attacked (Any attack in the game)
  • You have been Poisoned
  • You have been Controlled
  • You have been Jailed
  • You triggered a Trap
  • You were bitten by a Vampire
  • You have been Blackmailed
  • You have been Transported
  • "You saw (Ambusher player) prepare an ambush while visiting your target." (if the ambusher attacks a player)
  • Your action failed (This could be anything from targetting a jailed target, being roleblocked, hitting a role with a defense, or a protection from a doctor or potion master, trying to use an unuable role)
People will not be notified they healed their target or that they were healed, they won't know they were roleblocked, there will be no other special kill circumstances in the game ie "You were killed by the serial killer you jailed"

Still deciding what to do with the ambusher and if we will let people know they were transported or not.

you can notify if they successfully protected or commuted someone and can notify a killer if his target was too tanky (could be bullet proof or someone protected them)

the idea is to make it fair and give killer info if their kill failed cuz they r roelblcodkd (you say kill failed) or it failed cuz their target is protected/bulletproof (you say ur target was too tanky)

other than that failed kills shudnt ever show in writeups and probably never announce transponder or give them info yea. dont show cult in writeups either if they were showing.

idk about the wills and messages. forging should be always doable and include some roles to decipher the forge maybe. messages maybe completely anonymous and not announced?

Failed kills never show up in ToS and woudln't now.

The your targets defense was too high really sucked for scum, that is why that is changed. Also hopefully will stop scum going after each other and giving town a free win.

sure you can experiment with stuff until u get a good 40%ish scum winrate

but honestly given this is WG, anything below 60% winrate for scum means town is busted lmfao
