Toei flattening the spikes of his club only made Luffy bleeding from one hit nonsensical. Unless something is made of seastone or embedded with Haki, Luffy shouldn't be bleeding from a blunt force attack. The spikes in the manga made more sense, especially when this is a beast that torture and treat all prisoners like trash.
