Marco was a Yonko candidate before losing to BB. He defintely has a higher bounty than Luffer.
If King were to defeat Marco. Might as well give him a higher bounty than Marco, so it feels alright.

I only think it’s possible if their bounties are close.
if Marco bounty is quite above King’s one (like I think it is) it won’t be revealed by double spread.
Bounties are hype factor. If King bounty is revealed next to Marco one and if Marco bounty is 200/300m above King bounty would look pale.

Oda's been a bit weird with bounty reveals. He has Marco already hint at King's amount when there were plenty of opportunities to reveal it to us prior. For starters, he keeps giving us introboxes for King, as well as his DF, but withholds the bounty.
It makes me think he will, or rather, should have a special moment upon reveal. A double reveal against Marco could be it.

King's could be 1.33 to show that he's close to Queen, even in bounty. Plus that's a pretty big figure regardless of Queen.
Or maybe it'll be 1.5 billion or higher to really hype up King. I don't see King passing 2 billion, personally (not even closely approach it). Even though the Calamities seem a lot more disastrous than other Commanders, King being that much higher than Queen (or that high in general) would be pretty surprising.
